Hey Simon,

Could you add the 6 different 26800 battery extensions to your website when you can.

Edit - sorry to be a pain, could you also add the Getian red led -
LED, rotes Licht, Eingang 2,0-2,8 V max 8a, Wellenlänge 620-630nm,5*5mm Größe, 20mm Kupfer dtp mcpcb - AliExpress

(Can anyone suggest a driver for this?)

Thanks

Slightly belated. But, but happy birthday, Simon. I hope it was a wonderful day spent doing all of the things you love to do.

@Simon_Mao is the current SFT40 6500K batch of a lower bin? I’m measuring 1760 lumens at turn on and about 1600 lumens ANSI in the L21B. This usually is 2000+ lumens ANSI.

What’s the difference between the M21J and M21G?

M21J uses the same form factor of the M21G, but instead of an XHP70.3 or GT40 emitter, replace it with the guts of the L7, paired with a TIR instead of reflector.

Thanks but I am still learning. How does that impact the beam. Not sure of the advantages and disadvantages and what warrants the price difference. Thanks again.

You can consider the M21G to be more of a general use light, better for close to medium distance lighting, with the ability to throw some distance, but not that’s not its strong suit. Using a reflector, it tends to have a wide hotspot with plenty of spill. The M21J, on the other hand, uses a hotrod emitter, known for being very bright, and throwing pretty far. Paired with a 3 degree TIR, it’s going to be almost purely a tight hotspot with very minimal spill.

Thank you, very helpful. Planning on ordering a couple of lights from Convoy and wanted to add a larger thrower to look out into the tree line.

If you don’t want to deal with multiple cells, you can always go for the throwy but balanced L21B with SFT40, but if you want a lightsaber, pair it with the CSLNM1.TG, more commonly known as the W1 emitter.

4 Thanks

This is great advice.
I prefer the SFT40 because it provides some flood, but if you don’t need any flood, the W1 emitter is frequently recommended on BLF. :+1:

@Simon_Mao Could you please add Molicel P45B and Vapcell N40 F38 F58 F60 batteries inside cheap flashlights to the AliExpress store?

2 Thanks

Current flux bin is N4

i will try , However, AliExpress may block the link to the battery.

M21G ,reflector
M21J , TIR lens
