I was thinking of a click from off. Can it default to the lowest level, not the last one?
Oh, sorry.
The operation description does not describe any new features, so I guess the UI is the same as before.
Good to see that the battery tube has been switched from the original 26800 to support the more common 21700. Makes it a bit more accessible.
I wonder if this new driver supports being flashed to Anduril 2. The UI stops me from buying these side button convoys.
I know in the past this wasn’t possible but maybe this new design driver is possible? A man can dream…
@Simon, it’s almost 2026 already, it’s time to ditch the strobe mode to the depths of history where it belongs
It wasn’t switched, that is the M26E, a separate light.
I don’t fully understand how Anduril works, but I’m pretty sure it has to be baked into the driver at the designing phase, not just flashed onto it. I also think Simon’s driver guy uses a different microcontroller than Anduril requires.
Man, I can’t keep track of all these various models. I could have sworn he showed off the host back in early 2024, saying it would use a 26800 battery, but I don’t even know anymore. Wasn’t even aware that an M26E was on the agenda, but it does match the naming convention.
Ah, well that explains it. I thought he was holding up the same light. I gotta pay closer attention. Either way, it’s nice to have options. Thanks for the clarification.
Finally a new Convoy to order. I was running low on things to buy ![]()
5000K + EVE 50PL it is for me.
Yeah! Been waiting for this one. I was also hoping for full Anduril.
@Simon_Mao
Now that the Convoy M21K with an LHP73B emitter exists…
I’d like to request the Convoy M21E with an LHP73B emitter (with an OP reflector.) ![]()
Since the new 20A buck driver for e-switch exists it’s safe to assume it’s going to make it to M21E or M21D along with LHP73B and/or SFT-90.
@Simon_Mao We are ready to click BUY the moment LHP73B is on M21E
.
Can’t wait to get the 4000k LHP73B to see how it compares with my M21E with XHP70.3 R70 4000k.
I find that to be useless. It’s gonna get hot in 10 sec flat.
The same can be said of many flashlights that are overdriven.
From my perspective, Turbo mode is mostly useless in those lights, but Turbo mode isn’t the only available mode.
At 20A 100%, yes.
At 10A 100%, perhaps.
At 10A 40%, probably not.
I’ll be using one of the latter options most of the time. ![]()
And not to mention, practically all lights are gonna get hot when driven on turbo… that’s why it’s called turbo lol. My m21b with lhp73b is great for a quick look at what’s around, but it’s still extremely useful at 35% and 10%.
My m21f can hold turbo for 4 minutes
Not without getting hot!
