Aww… no love for brass? I only see one person on the brass list. Brass holds up to abuse a bit better than copper and I really like how it looks when it ages. Copper gets all green and needs the green-ness rubbed off periodically, but brass simply goes to a nice blend of brownish colors.

I wonder if the ti-blue finish is as fragile as the common titanium finishes I’ve heard about — really thin layer which scratches off easily. If so, you might need to polish and re-blue it periodically unless it’s used very carefully. Probably not good on a keychain, but it might make a nice necklace.

And of course stainless steel is going to be the most practical if it’s going to be on a keychain. Everything else will scratch like crazy.

I’m not aware of any flaming or anodizing titanium coloration that doesn’t wear off quite fast when used, even repeated fabric or skin contact will wear it rapidly, contact with other metallic object is turbocharged wear off, I had one of the Swissbianco magnificent custom splash anodized whistle on my keychain, the ano totally disappeared in a few weeks.
