Gearbest might want to do better than $29 for copper. Their reputation isn’t the best. :~ I’d pay a dollar or two to avoid them.
~ edit ~ Missed that the gearbest copper price drops to $26 if we hit 50.
woo~~~. interesting.
Gearbest has new price, without any coupon: 26.49--28.99--38.99.
I’ll hold out for another few days to see if I copper goes lower. Don’t like the 1a tint that much.
I'm sure the copper/brass will drop to lowest 25.99$. Just 10 more is required. Let's pray for the weekend.
I read several questions in these replies and just got the answers.
1. 10180 doesn’t have a protective PCB.
2. 1A tint.
3. Red indication when charging, turns to green when full. It has over charging protection, reverse and shortcut protection, but no discharing protection and low voltage protection or warning.
4. No thread glue.
So if it has an over charging protection just follow ToyKeeper’s suggestion of topping it off regularly and we’re good.
Though first I’ll try using my DMM to get a rough estimate of the self discharge of this tiny battery.
Feels like gearbest set the price high initially to increase the perceived value. Drive more GroupBuy sales.
i don't like the tint anymore
i think i'll hold the coupon

Thanks WWEFANS
Did they specifically say there is no glue in the head / pill? So the led would be removable.
You know what, remove me from the list. Thinking about it, and hearing the specs it seems overpriced for what it is.

I think other websites saw our GB price and want to compete. But we already reached the lowest prices.
I do not know about any 10180 battery with PCB……
I do not know of any flashlight 10180 with low voltage protection….
…

Ish.
Keeping a li-ion battery at full voltage all the time decreases its lifetime (in years) much faster than keeping it in the middle of its charge range. This is why cells are stored at like 40% full. So, try not to top it off all the time; it’ll last longer if you wait until it’s actually low before recharging… especially if your individual charger unit errs on the high side of a full charge instead of the low side.
OTOH, the cell is easy to replace if it loses its capacity.
Well, the price could be better and the 1A tint is not so good
but it’s still the first and only 10180 light with built in charging. It’s about time.
Anyone want to check and compare is length to other 10180 and 10280 lights? :weary:
Hi Halo, perhaps, dou you prefer something like this flashlight 10280
only 2 inches and great price….
REY - would you please put me on the list for one in copper, pending clarification of the cutoff question.
Sorry Rey, probably being overcautious but I'll pass on this for the time. It's probably fine but I don't like the idea of leaving a Li-Ion cell in an unknown low-voltage state for any period of time and then charging it again and wearing it around my neck.
Please remove me from the group buy.
Dealmachine has it on sale too. dealsmachine.com - Informationen zum Thema dealsmachine.
