DC-Fix Diffusion Film Sale

Nice first post :)

Thanks Again Frank

sent one sheet of each:
#3, #7, #10, #F2 and #F4

Hi Boaz, I want to buy some dc-fix and zircon filters, already sent you a PM yesterday. Thanks.

Boaz,

You’ve sent me those films like 2 years ago. I just want to say they are great, still using them and really happy with the results. They’re best at turning donut beam into mild, even and nice beam.

Planning new order, hope sending to EU won’t be too big trouble.

Thanks guys .... just added Minus green filter info into this thread as well .

hey boaz, i apologize if you posted pictures before, but i didnt feel like going through 15 pages of posts :person_facepalming: but do you have pictures of each option you listed in the first post so we can visually see what it is and how it looks? cuz just reading the words, it doesnt really paint the picture for someone like me who never used a dc fix before

Page 12, posts 357 and 360 might help.

much appreciated, thank you!

I just got around to testing some of the film I ordered from Boaz. I really like the “F4 - LEE FILTERS 205 SHEET 1/2 C.T. ORANGE CONVERTS 6500K TO 3800K”. Though in my case, it only seemed to lower the tint to around 4500k (using my old Olight S30R). I’m still pleased with the result.

LED: XM-L2 6500k

LED: XM-L2 ~4500k

Thanks again Boaz!

Great pics

I opened each in a new tab and could toggle back and forth to see the difference in full size pics . Looks really nice and colors are popping . I've had real fun mixing it up with that filter too .thanks for the helpful post.

Do you lose many lumens with the filter?

The loss using filters is less than if you swap a warmer emitter . Depending on the filter .

the diffusion filters are in some cases less then10% and minus green filters are 14% and 16% for the 1/8th and minus 1/4 . 15% is imperceptible to the human eye so it’s pretty meaningless

Thanks

Hi. Can I buy some dc fix and green minus please

Today I received the dc-fix and minus green filters from Boaz and immediately tried them out.

I put both in a Fireflies E07X with SST20 2700k/4000k mix. Although rosy, it was still showing a bit of green and some tint shift/blue around the corona. The dc-fix and minus green filter worked and the beam is now much prettier, the rosiness is almost on par with my tint ramping D4SV2 with 219B sw27/sw45k when set to a visibly similar CCT.

Thanks Boaz!

Sent you a PM

Ordered! Tyvm!

Thanks Boaz! Really happy with the Zircon minus green and Rosco minus green filters. Wanted to lower the DUV of my LH351D 5,700K on my Emisar D4S V2 dual channel light with W1's for throw. It's really neat to be able to adjust/manipulate the tint to your preferences. Right now I put both a Zircon Z2 and a Rosco R4 filter on the LH351D'S to turn them into a more floody and brighter 219B SW45K clone that I'm really liking. I did a small post linked here, but very happy with this neat little fix. Thanks again!

I ended up cutting Boaz’s film for my dt8 just a little too short on my first try, but it isn’t noticeable when looking at the beam so I left it.

He included a couple sheets so I still have more than enough to redo it at some point, as well as to put on my other lights.
