So GearBest gave me a full refund in the form of store credit and even gave me additional points. I didn’t even ask for a refund, just wanted to inform them of the issue. This is my first time dealing with CS regarding a bad order, pretty satisfied with the results.
Mine came the same way, I ordered new wrappers from Fasttech, it will take a while for them to arrive, until then Im not touching those batteries.
All 8 of them look like coming from trash with nicks and dents on them, but I assume that only 2 out of 8 might be unusable and will have to be recycled because they have really deep looking dents on them.
I will see that more clearly when I take the wrappers off before replacing them with FT ones.
Just contact CSGearbest here on BLF and ask for either exchange or to return batteries and receive full refund(they have to cover return shipping themselves) ;)!
Im sure GB will do you fine.
OR, you can sell the most trashy batteries to Bugsy36 for 2.99$ a piece+shipping ;)!
That is the same for my Samsung 25R. I believe it is ink smudge from the barcode. I already got GB's rep to leave a feedback for their warehouse 1+ mth ago. All new 18650 batteries will adopt a different type of packaging method (e.g one ziploc bag with one barcode for 4pcs of 18650).
GB probably uses steep discount to get rid of the ugly ones.
You guys want individually bubble wrap cell? Are you willing to pay for 15-20% extra for your order?
At least the new packaging method should prevent dirty appearance of the battery. If your battery is damaged during transportation, I am sure you know how to get your money back.
