Driver is not market available… It is made for me by unknown China factory (I had middle man which does not want to reveal factory)
So I have bought drivers that are claimed to be:
–4.5 A output driver
-single mode (or 100% only)
-battery over-discharge protection (works)
-reverse polarity protection (works)
-without thermal management protection
The driver looks like this:
Without wires:
From behind:
That driver does not works as it should… Output with carobronze bypassed spring does not reach claimed output plus it looses performance very fast… So it is obviously unregulated driver…
Here are my results. Tested very carefully with clamp meter:
I played little bit and I de-soldored that SS6602 “thingy”
I tried to improve that crappy driver by adding classic FET from Djozz diy FET driver thread
So I de-solder that SS6602 thingy and added FET (I have soldering iron only):
And guess what? Everything same again!
So my question…
Is this SS6602 also FET or not? Look:
Old diy FET and SS6602:
My question guys is do you have any idea why this crappy driver that is claimed to be 4.5A driver performs so poorly?
Do you see any kind of factory mistake on the driver that is limiting current or something else?
Is there any way to improve this driver?
When I tried to modd it by swapping good old diy FET it basically behaved same as with SS602 but I got bit flickering from time to time.
Should I try to remove anything from the driver in order for better current flow?
What type of driver is this anyway?
I am redneck… I know how to solder and assemble stuff and I am not ashamed to say that I need expert help here!
So please help! Any advice/experience is more than welcome here!
