What I can’t understand is why after it was clearly stated the light under performed so many continued to ask for the code and order. As soon as I saw that I dropped all intentions of buying just as I did several Klarus gb’s recently, I refuse point blank on principle to buy something I know is being mis-sold.
The UT02 was designed with 1,300lm and 124kcd in mind, But somewhere along the way the driver supplier decided to make drastic changes by reducing the current draw almost in half.
Utorch/Manker should either improve the driver or change the specs, and anyone ordering this light by now shouldn’t expect 5A tail cap draw, it’s been mentioned over and over this light makes close to 1,000lm, 100kcd and < 3A current draw.
By your definition of scam all flashlights with ANSI runtime ratings are scams.
Actually, both me (~1,345) and Budda (>1,400) tested the original U21 to be above the rated specs - that kind of scam I like! I've been told by Manker to not trust the U21's bought from GearBest. The only U21's under-performing so far are from GearBest, I think? Can anyone confirm under-performing U21's bought from other sources?
I'm seriously thinking of buying a U21 from Amazon Prime - $65 for NW. If it performs in the 1,000 lumens range, then it's easy to get 100% of your money back from Amazon, simply claiming the advertised specs were false. They pay for your shipping, everything - doesn't cost you a dime.
Best thing to do on any gb for a new model is register interest but wait for a proper review before ordering. I’ve avoided several under performers and one complete lemon by doing that.
WHERE IS THE COUPON TO SEE?
Is is again by email?
Bought on GearBest 2xLiitoKala 26650 http://www.gearbest.com/batteries/pp_360840.html?wid=21
I had bought another Flashlight for 26650 lion battery but this LiitoKala did not fit because the battery ’s diameter it was too big.
Do you think it will fit in this UT02?
If possible, indicate where I can find the code for the coupon.
Thank you very much and have a good Christmas.
