A link to Jaxman’s aliexpress product page would be helpful.

The only request I have is to find cheaper shipping. It might not be easy based on what he mentioned about being located in the middle of China, but that’s what I’d like to see.

I buy from Jaxman with considerable pleasure. (A Z-1 a while ago, and now an E2L)
I’m most interested in hosts (lights without a driver or LED and also in buying extra pills so I can build and swap in different combinations of driver and emitter quickly)

I use a VISA debit card attached to a small dollar bank account, for Aliexpress purchases, and that’s the limit of any risk of having the card number stolen.

I’d add lack of modes to why I won’t buy an E2L. 30% to 100% is too big a jump.

Personally I can see some difference between 30 to 100 but not much difference 50 to 100 :disguised_face:

I would like spacing 0.1 - 1 - 5 - 30 - 100 or something like that.

It is not very useful to survey for mode spacing, History has shown that it will give as many results as there are BLF members. Unless the spacing is totally weird (which is not so in Jaxman flashlights), mode spacing adaptations will loose as much interest as it gains.

Personally I like the next mode down after 100% to allow the highest possible brightness whilst still allowing the light to run continuously without getting too hot to touch (in a range of ambient conditions). That would probably be around 40 to 50% on this light. Below that that maybe 10% to 15, 1, 0.1%?

The BLF A6 had a pretty good mode group selection.

In brightness it isn’t a big jump (in fact it’s just right), but in heat handling there can be a massive difference.

What I’m really interested in is group buy or discount on the xhp50 z1. Looks like a bit of a monster.
