I must be one of the only people who haven’t seen stranger things, but this light came up on Amazon for £13, I think it looks quite cool so I ordered one. Comes with 2x D cells (which cost around £4.25 on their own) so I don’t think it’s overly expensive. Dunno what you guys think, but I like it! It may get modded, it may just go to my son.

Also, people were looking for a simple grandma flashlight, this lasts 80 hours, has a big button on the side, takes regular batteries which are available in most shops and is £13… pretty well ticks all the boxes for that requirement I think, plus from all the videos I’ve seen it looks way more than 150 lumens.

That 80 hour runtime is going to be to 10%, so who knows how long it’ll actually maintain it’s advertised output.
Still a cool looking light, though I wish it had a warm white LED to complete the retro vibe.

I got mine, nice light though I think it will be tricky to mod, the lens needs to be pulled out from the front somehow. The colour is neutral/warm and actually isn’t that bad at all, and for the money it’s a nice light.
The plastic lens looks like it’s held in on the side with a tab which press fits in, it may be removable with one of those GU10 lamp removal tools ( a silicone suction thing sort of like a car dent puller with a pull ring on) otherwise it would be damaged.

I got told to show off my 6V 8A mod here xd, yes it was a pain to modify. There isn’t much material to work with so I had to shove a chunk of brass round stock in it as a pill, and used a TIR instead for the XHP70.3 HI I swapped in it.
