I really like lights with clicky switches and I really like lights that run on a single AAA, and there way too few flashlights with both. I have been eyeing the Lumintop Tool AAA for quite a while, and when I saw a good price on Banggood (I payed $15.08 shipped with coupon BLF), I went for one. I like it, and thought you would like to read a bit about this light too, so here's a quick review .
I got it in today (ordered june 4, took just 8 days to arrive :-) ) and it looks and feels like a decent quality light, nice matt black anodising, firm clicky, purple AR-coated lens, good output, three modes med-low-high-no memory, PWM-controlled modes, frequency between 500 and 1000Hz, nice beam with distinct hotspot, clip can be reversed, etc. etc. Really nice! And unlike what's on the package and the Banggood website, the led is XP-G2 . (Selfbuilt over at CPF did a review of this light last december, his version had the old XP-G, two modes, no PWM, different OP-reflector, no AR-coating was mentioned. So my unit is a new version, even the Lumintop website is not updated with the new specs). Oh, and this one runs fine on an Efest 10440 li-ion battery.
This is what you get, specs are on the package, I did not measure the output or anything, the claims sound very plausable so I'm pretty sure it is about correct, perhaps even a bit better with updated led and AR-coating. I will measure some output numbers on AA and 10440 later, and add it to this post. EDIT: lumen measurements are in post #2
It is not the tiniest of the AAA flashlights, but a clicky switch just takes up some length:
It comes apart effortlessly, no glue or anything, it is completely moddable, the driver board is 11mm diameter.
Eventually it will be modded, but I'm happy with it sofar :-) , hope you like it too.
