nichia high cri ?

Interested, please give me a Code ;—)

:+1: :+1: :+1:

What about throw distance?

Xhp50 4000k please ... ;-)

Looking good. Do we have a thread about which Astrolux parts interchange with others? I’m in the mood for Lego time.

I just pick sst40 based on 2 sense:

a) sst40 is less heat than xhp50.2
b) sst40 more intensity than xhp50.2

Disagree with me if I am wrong…

Interested.

Agreed, it would make a far more practical beam in a light with reflectors this size IMO. Despite the earlier statement of similar lights to a potential EC03 w/SST-40s already existing, the only things close are the Nightwatch NS43 (limited distribution, weird UI) and Sofirn C8F (also weird UI for many used to both Narsil/Anduril and dual-switch lights). Anduril is a BIG selling point for many people on BLF and elsewhere.

The NS53 has existed right alongside the NS43 as an option this whole time though. Now there is also the FW21 Pro which made it to market faster and is probably much better known due to how popular that family of lights is - it is extremely similar in concept to the current EC03. I don’t see how having at least one other emitter choice than the extremely floody XHP50.2 with all of it’s tint shift would be a bad call in a light with this design and these features.

So here’s hoping for a run with different emitters down the line :+1:

BG are saying Monday. Looking forward to this one

It is not possible. 4000K is valid only in 6V and 12V variants. I also vote for SST40. For High Cri version it will be better 4X emitter variant with the same form factor of flashlight  . It will be overkill replacement for SP36 in more compact form.

No 5000k option?
