Usually you have to wait 30 days, I think. I’ve never had to use PayPal support, so I’m not sure.
Banggood pre-order count went up by 4 to 1078 today, but it still says “Sold out” when I try to place an order. I’m not claiming that this number means anything; just reporting that on some days it rises slightly.
Sent me you order number and i will forward to their rep.
Because they still allow you to order though their mobile app.
Hey Freeme,
Any news for the NW version??
Anyone knows if mateminco’s NW version of this light has started to ship?
Sure enough, after much internal debate I downloaded the mobile app and used it to place an order. That’s just plain weird. I already don’t trust websites, so obviously I just love placing my faith in smartphone apps .
I highly recommend you try the live chat support. Two weeks ago I had to cancel a backorder on the ROT66 Nichia 219B which I never thought they’d fill anyways.
After the order was cancelled for 7 days I had no refund, brought it up to them over live chat and the following day I got my paypal refund.
I’m in 100% agreement that it’s an extremely unethical business practice that they have automated billing the day you click “place order” yet the day you click “cancel order” means nothing. This is an extremely shady tactic that nobody but BG and likely GB practice. Large companies like Amazon or Ebay use the exact same automated system for “place order” or “cancel order”, your billed or credited automatically that business day or during business hours the following day.
Any info when will they start shipping NW versions? It still says “Back Order ” does this mean wait longer or it means order Is canceled by the seller?
The seller almost never cancels the order. If there is a certain delay they may ask if you want to cancel. Obviously, they want the sale. I’ve only seen them cancel an order when a product has stopped being produced.
Anyway, Backorder means they are waiting for more items to be manufactured and shipped.
Banggood will sometimes use the “Backordered” term for items not being sold yet. It looks like they now might use “Preorder” instead.
The FT03 is a new light so we just have to wait patiently.
I don’t see how you see it as Shady at all. It makes perfect sense. It’s easy to accept money but there are a lot of Hoops to jump through when it comes to canceling an order. They have to verify that the item has not already shipped and this verification process varies from store to store. If they didn’t do this people would order something, then cancel the order after it it already shipped and then they would get free items. Stores want to make sure this doesn’t happen.
There’s also a possibility that employees may take advantage of a system that does easy refunds. A shady employee could basically steal money from the company so this might add another layer of verification for any refunds.
PS,
I’ve never seen eBay do a fast “cancel order”. I’ve never had to cancel an order from Amazon.
Someone should have a light in hand soon. My cool white lights show shipped 5 days ago.
Mine still has not shipped. I ordered on Mar 4th.
Considering the experience I have had with the Astrolux FT02 and Banggood’s absolutely horrid customer service and complete lack of warranty I am cancelling my order for a refund.
Banggood has lost a customer for sure. Astrolux seems to have quality control issues.
I’ve spoken with BG customer service and will agree you can’t automate a refund system for orders that are cancelled with product on hand. High likelihood it could’ve shipped.
I’m mainly talking about backorders. BG is 100% positive they have no inventory on the item, they haven’t had any inventory for over 1 month and advise the customer the order is still months away from being filled. My ROT66 was ordered on Feb 4th. On March 4th they advised that it’d been a month and the status was now backorder awaiting inventory. There’s no possibility shipping could’ve shipped my order yet after 6 business days of me cancelling my order I had to contact them about the un-processed refund.
In regards to orders with stock on hand: I’ve also spoken to BG about a different order and they confirmed that the longest it should ever take to receive your refund once the order is cancelled is 1-2 business days for the shipping dept to confirm the order hadn’t shipped already.
There is absolutely no reason why their refund system isn’t automated. Amazon has an accurate shipping system and if their system doesn’t show it’s shipped they can cancel it. Even if there’s a doubt it takes them 2 hours to confirm if it’s been shipped and the order is refunded or your given a tracking number.
I have no problem with BG admitting they’re not well organized and it takes 2 days for a shipping department to confirm if they shipped an order or not. (They don’t deserve credit where it’s not due: Amazon is the worlds biggest company who ships about 4000x more stuff than BG so if they can confirm in 2 hours if somethings picked and shipped and BG takes 2 days that’s just inefficient). But I don’t fault them for that. take 2 or 3 days, that doesn’t bother me if it’s their policy.
BUT it should be automated: customer clicks cancel order - automated request to confirm if order shipped is submitted to shipping - shipping responds within 1-3 days - shippers response triggers automated billing system (same one that charges you the day you click “order”) and processes refund.
They invest no money or energy in processing your refund or bigger yet making the refund process more efficient because it’s not profitable. BG knows their competitive advantage which is price not service so they don’t claim to be the best or even good at customer service but claim you’ll get a BANG GOOD deal!
They choose to allow refunds to take weeks because it means cash flow they can utilize for a few extra days or weeks. That’s an unethical business practice.
By the way, the prices of the LiitoKala 26650 cells went up slightly in advance of the upcoming AliExpress Anniversary sale, which runs from 3/28 to 3/31. The teaser prices are lower than last week’s prices, though, so this seems a good way to get some decent cells for a good price so long as you don’t mind waiting another week and a month to get them.
I believe that the linked cells are genuine as the store has been around for 6 years while some of the fake stores have eventually been closed and redirected to this one. I can’t guarantee anything, though, as I haven’t yet received or tested cells from this store.
The Shockli 5500 is better and is only $8.49/ea at Mountain Electronics, but shipping will bump up the total. That seems to be a good price for these cells, however, and you’re likely to get your batteries much sooner.
I have to assume that the FT03 will accept these oversized cells, as both are closer to a 27650.
Some people have received there FT03? Is some one going to do a quick review? I just want to know reflector size and hows the driver? I will probably order a CW as i want to change the LED any way.

Not really.
There is one review on Banggood. They are probably not a BLF member.
I went to cancel my order and it says “error!”
Sent off for customer email support. We shall see what happens.
