On the newer ones the optic wont spin

Mine doesn’t spin, but it isn’t stationary. It wiggles a little up and down and will move just a LITTLE clockwise and counter clockwise. Is that how it is supposed to be? Does that affect the thermal grease any?

Not sure why it would go up and down but it will rotate a little cause the divot on the bottom is larger than the screw head so it will move a little.

As long as the screw head isn’t in one of the optic holes it’s fine. Thermal paste wont care either it gets smashed down when you tighten bezel

Anti-rotate screw might be sitting up off the shelf, not tightened down, or the pocket in the mcpcb not deep enough?

Mine finally arrived and its a little rosy at lower levels but fine on med. to high.
I’m getting close to 2200 lm on my TA tube.
Would like to know cd and throw meters.

I don’t have the posts bookmarked, but “numbers” for the SST20’s have been posted several times in the last few pages. Some of them with different optics & lenses too.

I received my 2nd FW3A today. I ordered an SST20. The box I received today says NICHIA on it. Has this happened to anyone else?

Probably. Someone who ordered a Nichia might have your SST-20.

Got my SST-20 on Friday and played with it a bit last night. Really happy with the tint and temp. Terrific, esp compared to the XP-L HI 3D in my first one.
Don’t like the switch at all on the new one, agree that it seems way too easy to activate. My simple “fix” for now was to just switch the heads. I also prefer the darker clip on the OG.

Any updates on when the polished Ti with copper head will be available?

Maybe the colored anodized first, particularly the purple one to cheer Toykeeper up, in case she would need it. I would prefer a brass FW3A but would certainly buy the purple one.

Yes, it’s time for some color. I would take a purple—with that cool button from many posts ago!

I asked Neal last week and he said next month for the purple.
