Make the main LED High CRI as well, maybe the 5000K SFT25R?
Keep the button bezels black to match the front bezel.
A decent, regulated driver would be nice (buck?).
The colors are all okay, but nothing special, You could make one more unconventional color, maybe a vibrant purple or something. My favs are the red and grey.
What will the UI be?

2 Thanks

Definitely red for my taste.

The buttons with the arrows are a nice idea!

395nm UV is not my favourite, I would highly prefer 365nm (with a filter at best). I know you need a reflector for this, but that would make it so much more useful!

2 Thanks

We have talked about the LED with our fan Johnny, he also want to see a high CRI for the front light, we are thinking about the SST20 4000K Ra90.

UI is quite simple, upper button to control the front light, the bottom button to control the side light.

Single Click: ON/OFF
Press and hold from OFF: Moonlight

Press and hold from ON: Cycle outputs, when it hits the top, it stops, and press and hold to adjust the output in the reverse direction.

Double Click: Turn on the GreenLaser for the front, Turn on the Red light for the side(press and hold to ramp the output)

Triple Click: Turn on the UV for the front, Turn on the Red Light flash for the side.

Five or more click: Lockout/ Unlock

Sounds good. The only thing I’d change is make it possible to ramp down without going to the top output. So with the light ON double press and hold the second press to ramp down.

Very important - enable ramping on the side lights as well! I really dislike it when the side lights are always on max brightness

I like black or green case colour.
I think that SFT25 Hi cri or 5000k led is better solution than SST20 4000k.
Changing direction of ramping is good idea.

Why 395nm and not 365nm??

And i assume green Laser. Cool!
High CRI Rampable! cool i like it. but i would prefer lower CCT like 3000K

With 365nm for ~16$ i would buy one. but not in a “kickstarter” as an early adopter
When we already have at least 5 similar products from well established manufactures.

Maybe even 20€ including shipping.

But like this with no actual Technical specifications like battery capacity, runtime and so on.

And the marketing BS Pretending this is equivalent to 99,95$ lights.
I mean what a coincidence its almost exactly 100$ (this should make it clear that the numbers are made up. )

Its maybe comparable to a Wurkkos HD01 PRO EDC Flashlight – 365nm UV, Green Laser, High CRI LED, USB-C Rechargeable, Magnetic Tail
but this costs like 30€ and has accrual 365nm as well as as proper technical specifications and i don’'t need top preorder via kicksarter

Personally, I would ditch the UV light and replace it with a spot. A high CRI led for flood and a throwy led (SFT 25?) around 5000k. Yes, a UV light is cool but how many time are you really going to use it? If you use a UV light often, I think you should then use a dedicated UV light, no? Realistically, a choice of throw or flood on an EDC sounds like a much better choice.

Maybe the UV could replace the side red light ?

2 Thanks

I “EDC” a small 365nm light. And i see this market as a "Multi tool "
in a Small light with limited power and battery i want the main light to be as Focused as possible.
So i personalty don’t want a floody light in a small EDC . if i need flood i can uses “ceiling bounce” or a diffuser or the side light.

Sorry I replied to your comment directly. My answer was as a general comment, not targeted at your post directly. I understand some people (like yourself) really need a UV light.

My nearly 30 years among flashlight enthusiasts (yes, I’m that old) and more than 250 lights owned and tested showed me that 90% of the time, I use flood (inspecting parts at my job, camping, house work, treking, mechanics, etc…). I’m not talking mule level but a floody beam like a D4V2 or TS10 is the ideal general use beam for me. And for the 10% I need more throw, a secondary more focused beam in the same flashlight is the ideal setup for me. I think of the ArkPro as a near perfect ‘‘multitool’’ like you describe. Flood beam, spot, UV and laser. However, no high CRI option, kind of bulky, heavy for its size and bad regulation are deal breaker.

a high cri LED like the 5000K SFT25R would be nice

in such a small light, a regulated driver makes a huge difference

the green is nice, brown or brass accents would be really nice

2 Thanks

Interesting light, especially for the price.
Is there any way of removing the bezel without destroying the light?

2 Thanks

Hi Horzuff, release then press and hold to ramp in other direction. Ramping is applied to both front light and side light.

1 Thank

Hi Six7, it is spotlight in the front, and floodlight on the side.

Hi Derfyled, no worry, it is an open comment area. We may make some variants, I myself also seldom use the UV light. This is the voice we would like to hear.

Black is the most universal.

I miss info about modes and runtime, I don´t like checking if I have charged battery. High modes are fine, but I nearly never use them, so mid and low (moonligt and even firefly) modes are important for me, so great it has that moonlight.

UV mode is for me useles, so maybe combination of one throw and one flood? Or one white and second red?

Hope also that lock works well, I have problem with my keychain flashlight when even it is locked it sometimes unlock in my pocket itself.

Otherwise it looks good. :+1:

I also don’t have a use for UV, that’s why I asked if the bezel is removable without destroying the light.
One 5700K High CRI LED, one 2700K High CRI LED would be my choice. And then a mode to switch both of them on at the same time for maximum output.

hi L4M4, sorry the bezel is a press-in style, not a screw one, so it is not easy to dissamble, but we are thinking about having a dual white light version, wonder what UI you expect to see for this dual white light.

1 Thank

I like grey and green ones.
UI seems OK. I’m glad You didn’t forget about electronic lockout - it’s a must have in EDC light.
I don’t use UV - white flood + spot would suit me better.
How about high CRI main LED? As mentioned above SFT-25R HCRI is a good one :+1: 3000K with high CRI would be even better, but LED would need to be upgraded to SFT40 3000K.

I’m not a huge UI guy, but something like this:

2700K/Both[1]/5700K: Low, Mid, High
Change between colors: Long press while on
Double Press in each Mode: Turbo
Long Click from Off: Moon, CCT changable via long press, with memory (I’m not sure if the CCT matters at 1 Lumen or less, probably not?)

[1] with 50% each for temperature reasons
