[GAW]VezerLezer WK2--The 5 in 1 Flat EDC Flashlight

  1. All of those colors look nice, though I have a preference for the ones we see less often, like the red. The blue and green also look very good.
  2. Laser pointer on a flashlight? Neat differentiating feature. I could see it coming in handy sometimes, but my guess is not that often.
  3. High CRI, of course

What is meant by “expandable runtime” in the image?

Curious to see how these flat flashlights fare compared to the typical cylindrical style.

Thanks for the GAW, @Lezer!

I always like a nice blue color and (dark) green one, but in this case I actually like the shade of grey you showed; still a pretty neutral look a lot of people wouldn’t mind, but still a bit different than the ‘standard black’ of most flashlights.

I really like the fact that you chose to go for High CRI 4500K LEDs for the side light! Given the side light has a wide beam and gives diffuse light, it will mainly be used for close up work and for that I really prefer a neutral and High CRI light, so this combination sounds perfect for that.

I also like that it has a UV light + laser, since I’ve also seen several lights like this, that have only one of the two options.

As suggested before by several others, I also prefer a 365nm UV(A) LED over 395nm. It’s probably hard to integrate in the current flashlight, but a ZWB2 filter for the UV LED, would make it so much more useful/better performing!

Since several Luminus LED’s already have been mentioned in this topic, you could also consider the Luminus SST-10-UV LED in 365nm for the UV led. I have a Lumintop Tool AA UV 2.0 that uses that LED (in combination with a ZWB2 filter) and it performs really well!

The red color is nice.

The green laser is definitely a plus.

Would prefer 365nm for the UV.

-All colors are fine. The red is speaking to me.
-Price point is great considering all of the features offered.
-UV should be 365nm and filtered.
All other white lights should be below 5000k and high CRI.

Good luck with your project.
These flat lights are getting better and are more easily REAR pocket carried than cylindrical lights, so this one is on my list.

I’ve just explored the light without a User Guide and I didn’t find it intuitive at all.

Why not 4 clicks for lockout, it’s just taken me 20 mins to turn it on. 5 clicks is rare for lockout. People will forget the UI and think it’s broke, like I just did.
It also took me a while to figure out how to get from Low to Medium. And having to go to High first, release the button, then reapply the button, to get to Low from Medium is utterly utterly dreadful.

Thank you Flashaholic for the feedback, the sample does look like dead if lockout, we have improved a little bit, now it will flash twice to let you know it is lockout.

You do need to go to the top and then to go back to low, just anytime you want to go reverse. You can try press and hold again within 0.5S.

@Lezer any idea when the Kickstarter will start?

This isn’t true. You need to speak with the engineers.

No lights didn’t help but my main point is lockout is either universally a very long hold or 4 taps from off. 5 Taps is unusual (I think IMALENT did 5 with some of their very high power lights) and I didn’t even think to try it. I found the unlock solution in this thread.

Given that this topic got a bump anyway; any more news on this already?

The Kickstarter just started!
I backed it already

Hello Daniel,

To answer your questions

  1. Blue is super nice, second favorite is Red.
  2. The Laser looks amazing!
  3. I would definitely recommend the 5000K SFT25R and to make the UV 365nm . In contrary to most users I highly appreciate a powerful UV.

I like the red or the blue.
I like the idea of the 25R with higher CRI. Maybe 4500K to 5000K.
Nice offering though.
