Wow! Out of nowhere, this no name brand beats the big 4. Is there a comparison graph to see how it fares against the VTC5A, VTC5D, VTC6A?

Molicel isn’t a no-name brand. Infact I’ve just sent about 2 dozen to the recycle bin from laptop pack pulls (not these specific molicels) while in then process of reducing the number of unused cells I store in my home. Nothing was wrong with them I just have better low drain / lower capacity options to keep and use.

Yes,MOOCH got a sample and tested them.That was on October 8th,2018.

Until late yesterday nobody[the public] in USA could get the cells as Liionwholesale is the ONLY USA backed dealer. They are 0.9 miles from my condo. :+1:

Very nice. It seems second to the VTC6A. Too bad the VTC6A was so extremely rare and completely sold out.

We just have to wait & see if they stay good , the vtc6 is good when new but it’s life expectancy goes down with age. How do you think these will age ? Perhaps wolfdog can retest after extensive use.

That is true,I will definitely retest them down the road. I am anal about cycle life, voltages and run times. I keep track of that with ALL of my batteries.

Hopefully these have decent longevity. They will be in my TN42vn90. 5000L/1Mcd.That light demands good High Drains!

If the capacity test is done before 6 pm I will post the results before I hit the trail,if not when I get back. :wink:

NOT absolutely confirmed but MOST likely the APEXIUM INR 18650 2600mAh is a Molicel P26 RE WRAP.

HKJ tested BOTH the Apexium and your Vapcell 18650 2600 25A. EVERY Amp setting was basically identical on his comparator. When HKJ gets MOLICEL OEM P26A at end of January[test in February] that will be more evidence,although Not 100% without further testing by the experts! :beer:

2. Do you have a constant current load so you can calculate internal resistance or not? That would be useful to know.

My friend Bob has been doing it for over 25 years. I would have to ask him. He does excellent job every time.

I am confused. Are you saying Molicel will have a VTC5D and VTC6A rewrap or do you mean they will have a competitor to VTC5D and VTC6A?

He’s talking about a future Molicel cell that will compete with VTC5D/VTC6A. But that will be some time.

By the way if anyone’s interested in 21700’s, we got a very new very fancy Molicel (4200mAh 45A) up on the site yesterday.

45A at 4200mah??? Noway that’s possible. that’s even higher than the 30T. 40T only good for 30A. Need to have HKJ test it.

It’s more like a souped up Samsung 40T.
