I didn’t ask for a Thorfire VG-15, but I got sent one anyways. There have already been a few good reviews with lots of pictures, so I will keep mine much shorter than my usual review format.
Pros:
- Attractive appearance
- Quality Ano
- Quality Clip
- SS Bezel
- Smooth Threads
- Mode order Moon-Low-Med-High, hidden strobe (double-click while in moon to access strobe)
Cons:
- On-time memory with long-ish set time
- If you want strobe, it can be hard to activate
- My sample had a decent divot missing from the aluminum on the edge of the tailcap (covered with ano, so not too noticeable)
- Tint isn’t terrible, but is definitely cool white (I prefer Neutral)
- Low, Med, and High modes are all a little too close together
Verdict:
A good host that is slightly let down by it’s internals, but still a good flashlight overall.
