Group Buy-BLF X6-SE OP update-GB over.

Ha! Paid $23, can get that EE X6 for $18. Not happy. They need to fix their error.

I agree.

Turned out so so. Do like the light and not sorry to have the EE version. After the 30% off it was a couple dollars less than the best price I can find.
Turned out to be $15.50 and itā€™s easier than sending it back. Willing to bet tmart still made money at this price.

Still awaiting the BLF X6 from banggood. Hope they donā€™t make same mistake. I think they are shipped from the manufacturer. Will my BLF X6 come directly from Eagle Eye and turn out to be EE X6? Hereā€™s to hoping not.

Hmm, i missed that your x6 that you bought as a x6-se came from tmart, i thought you meant that banggood sent you the wrong version.

So if this is what you ordered & all you got was the stock EE X6
http://www.tmart.com/BLF-Special-Edition-X6-Upgraded-CREE-XM-L2-U2-3C-1198LM-LED-Flashlight-with-Strap-Black_p310494.html

That changes everything, that means tmart didnā€™t have any x6-seā€™s at all.

EDIT
Now i see it, you wrote it in the subject line

Am i the only one who almost never read the ā€œsubjectā€ on a persons post in side a thread, it feels like it is something like 95% just the repeated first line of the post so my mind just filters out that extra noise.

sorry, not my normal habit. Usually go straight to the body.

Oh, and the warning ā€œOnly banggood is the authorized retailer for BLF SE X6ā€ seems to stand true.

Yeah, because this is news in the whole EE X6-SE GB story

Thanks for taking the chance & reporting about it, now we know that if not anyone else come forward & report differently, that tmark in this case is scammers.

I posted the news in the tmart sales thread also

I recently finally got my 4Cs, and as expected, they are much preferred to the 3C, Iā€™m reconsidering buying any more 3C tints ever after all 3 I have came with greenish tint and 4C looks beautiful beside it. I think they actually output more light than the 3C too, which means (if it seems so visually vs a less warm tint) they are producing significantly more. My multimeter A fuse blew so I canā€™t measure current atm. The nice tint makes me wonder about leaving them all in anyways instead of modding some into triplesā€¦if only the turbo timer wasnā€™t there I think Iā€™d leave them all as is and only make the C3 into a triple.

Has anyone found a simple resistor mod for the light or simple way to disable turbo timer? Pretty happy with the 4C even so, but you could always be happier

perhaps the 4C emitter was an old-batch lower VF XM-L2 and the 3C emitter was a new-batch higher VF XM-L2. That would explain why a 4C is brighter.

just received my U2-3C from BG butā€¦ the emitter was completely off centered, i opened the bezel and:

It doesnā€™t look normalā€¦ just one screw, that was not really keeping the star pushed on the mounting surface but rather pushing it on a sideā€¦ :s :s :s

do the ones you received have two screws or one?

the one-screw horror apparently not just strikes the hosts! Really sorry to see that happening in the ready-made BLF-X6 as well :-(

you mean, it happened in the pre-release samples?

Not the samples, but the non-branded hosts theyā€™re selling now that we have to assemble.

And yes, it pushes the star off center if you try to tighten it. Best to simple glue the screw in, loose, so it doesnā€™t come out and just let it sit there as a stop so the star canā€™t turn when the bezel is screwed down, the reflector itself puts downward force on the star so that isnā€™t a problem.

I think no screw is better than one. Use adhesive and glue the star down so you can center it and it will stay put. (use a copper star  )

The led is also skewed on the pads. Should probably reflow it to center since the contacts are too close to shorting the center thermal pad.

My X6-SE 4C, also had only one screw & was horribly off center that showed off ugly artifacts in the beam.

And i didnā€™t like the 4Cā€™s tint + AR, way to yellow & green blue cast from the AR in the beam, so i rebuilt it to a triple XP-L V6 3D after Daleā€™s design  but without the AR glass & only the optic + an extra o ring to secure the optic.

Much more lumens with a perfect tint, everything you could want in a light

Eagle Eye should do a X6 triple with a MOSFET driver, i bet they would sell at least as much as the X6-SE GB did

So what do you say krono hook us up

My CW has two screws, and my WW has one, but I still like the WW better.

I donā€™t think the led is skewed in that picture. It is square with the markings on the star, and the skew is probably just the sticky gasket that insulates the reflector from the star. That gasket often twists clockwise as the reflector is tightened down, which is fine.

My CW has two screws, ande my WW has one screw.
The star sits in a recess, so even with just one screw it wonā€™t wander off.
That screw prevents the star from turning around when you tighten the head.

I think youā€™re right about that. I was just looking at the substrate edges.

Arrived today my first ever BLF lights!

Received 2 lights, a T6-4C and a U2-3C. Ordered on Feb 11th received today March 17th.

Very happy so far, both appear to be flawless, perfect anno, LEDā€™s centered, threads lubed, no dirt or fingerprints in lens/reflector, just a quick test and both work are very bright and both have a beautiful tint.

One will become a host for a triple XPL custom. Iā€™m going to compare them and the one I like better I might leave stock.

Got on to this late after GB but still got GB price, MANY THANKS KRONO for making this happen!

What resistor size is it? Thanks!
