Still waiting on response from seller.
So far we have about 30 or so interested but contingent on price and what we decide to order. This is probably not going to be enough people to reach the 50 lights needed. I have put in some requests with sellers on alibaba. This is a recent response for the C12.
*Good day,

I’ll keep updating the thread and let everyone know the response from sellers on prices for different hosts, emitters and drivers, etc.
Pretty much. I am still waiting on FT response and from others. But for now it doesn’t look like there is enough interest anyway. Not enough people who will be happy with one model.
At the end I will probably simply go with my gut and choose what I think is the best option and start a new thread with 50 available of an exact light and price. If there is interest in 50 lights of that exact light then it’s a go.
I’ll keep this open and active. Who knows maybe fast tech will come through and be willing to ship an acceptable model with BLF logo directly to individuals. They can ship me the lights that people want modded.
I would like to see a new BLF flashlight. I liked the direct from china lights a lot, cheaper too.
A c8 is a great flashlight and cheap too, but everyone has “one” already…
Maybe a not so common light would be more ideal…
What’s with this big head thrower corui thing…
I am in for two of whatever you make. I only read the first post and this post.
& edit : I like the KE-5 /” prairie fire ” host body much more than the ugly C-8 body.
It confounds me as to why there isn’t interest at least in 50-100 units of this BLF special edition light.
18sixfifty personally modding these C8s…and there are only 30+ takers? Come on fellers…this is a great service he is offering…and it is certainly CHEAP…er…I mean…budget-friendly! :money_mouth_face:
another great deal, if one is not a modder themself, is to have Richard at Mountain Electronics build them a nice Convoy C8, a really nice one, with quality parts, and have it delivered for about $23 if I’m not mistaken. (nope, I don’t get a % age on these)
