the Nichia used in the 2020 RRT-01 was Low CRI..

would be better w High CRI 519A

Also, the 2019 and 2020 drivers flicker on moonlight..

would be better with the 2012 driver, that did not flicker…

I also like the 2012 Body best…

I might be interested if it had no tail switch

Came with nichia 519a 4000k

Constant current driver

And that rotary thing had aggressive knurling on it instead of those key holes

If you decide to remake the original with no tail switch, count me in.

Now if you were to make a smaller diameter model for aa/14500, then I would reconsider.

Just like the others have mentioned, I’d like one with 519A, infinite rotary brightness control (not stepped), and no tail switch.

To check, what emitters are you planning on using in this group buy? I see some places still carry the XP-L HI and 219C version. Will the battery still be micro USB rechargeable, or will it come with USB-C?

Surely a typo, but the high lists only half an hour on 18650? That wouldn’t be a 16340, would it?

18650 would give at least 1.5 hours at 1k lumens…

Is the driver/drive current the same for both emitters?

In for one, but would prefer a 4000k 519a.

USB C rechargeable cell would be good.

If you were re-designing the light, a TIR optic would be very attractive.
