Here’s a neat one. It has a lot of firsts. The first 20700 head lamp I’ve seen. Built in USB C charging. Magnetic tail cap, plus a pocket clip. I’ve never seen that before.
The Jetbeam HR30. List price $60, but coupons are available.
Also new:
Eagle Eyes X1R CREE XP-L V6 430lm 18350 Right Angled Flashlight
Magnet, integrated charging, 18650 tube included
The headband costs extra
No clip so far
I was recently looking at the H1R, but not as a headlamp. These are really pricey. Where are good places to buy Olight in the US? Are they ever on sale or have coupons available?
Manker just released a bunch of new lights including a 16340 90° head light called the EO4. The fixed clip and charger built into the battery instead of the light is not to my satisfaction.
I need to add all these new lights to the list. :weary:
Yup, it is like the Manker lights as well (and Sofirn’s).
The more I use Olights or the Emisar D4 the more the click for ON/OFF makes sense to me (specially being used to more tailclickies).
About the small Manker, it is cute, it is powerfull, but it is also expensive and the are some things on the UI that are a drawback to me. So I’ll stick to what I have for now as headlamps !
Hum, I don’t think it is new! I have the Manker E11 (which is not a new model) and it has that click for ON on Moonlight and Press&Hold for memorized mode! I guess the best UI from Manker is the MK41 (direct access to Turbo from On/off without having to press & hold.
Yup, if compared, the price of Manker is “Lower” but ain’t a budget light! And Manker doesn’t go on GBs or discounts for BLF members :disappointed:
I wouldn’t mind get a H1R too, nice little headlight
Well, it will probably fit most of the common headbands for flashlights, it is a angled light, and it can be used in a “shorty” version!
Besides that, I don’t know, I believe that there are out there heavier headlamps that this one!! Take a look at the Thrunite TH10 … (yes, old model, but still a headlamp! )
Shorty now it 106mm long (protected 18650 donot fit) and weight 71g (head is very thick and massive). Even short version will be more heavy than h600 with 18650.
Although it is a comparison, I am not sure if it is a fair comparison! And please note that I am not defending Amutorch, despite it is a brand that I like!
The Zebralight is of course much lightweight than this. But it is also much more lightweight than an Acebeam H20 (62g) or a Boruit (55g) headlamp without batteries!
And it is SO much more lightweight that that Thrunite TH10 headlamp w/o battery (85g)!
That doesn’t mean that this cannot be seen as an headlamp.
But with the Zebralight’s price I can buy 2 of these Amutorch! And 6 Boruits
Maybe being a heavier is not an advantage, and I do see your point, but this may still be considered as such in my modest opinion
When I ordered AL1 I think it is headlamp. But when it comes, I clearly realise that it is not. It can be seen in many details that manufacturer dont think it as headlamp) It may be hard to explain, but if you take it in your hands, you would understand.
But of course it can be used as headlamp, as many other handheld lights and even a bit more convenient )
