Help!! can only have 1 light for christmas.. which one? fenix tk75 or Thrunite TN30 or BTU shocker?

my wife is killing me now… she wants to buy me a light for christmas… but i can only choose 1
so i need the pro and the con on these lights… does anyone own 3 of these lights?

as right now… the price different is not by much.
fenix tk 75 $169.99 ( $199 - 15% off christmas special)
Thrunite TN30 $149
BTU shocker $180 ( on sale for $150 now …thanks Dale:))

or is there any other light you guys can recommend beside these lights?( comparable brightness like these lights)
and has to be under $200

my other lights is sky ray king and Trustfire TR-J18

you can get the shocker for $150 from fancy lights or something like that till the 30th

I would go with the TK75. I have the TN30 NW and really like it. Small and puts out a ton of light with decent throw. From what I have read and saw it looks like the TK75 has a wider spill with ALOT more throw. I an going with the TK75 when it is in stock. Good luck with your choice for your Christmas present!

You gotta put the Black Shadow Terminator in the mix, and the Zebralight S6330, not to mention the just released Supbeam X40, the Roche M170 and the soon to be released Solarstorm L3.

I only have the TN30 and the BS Terminator at the moment. The X40 and TK75 are on their way.

The TN30 and the Terminator are comparable in terms of output, so I really think it comes to your preference in terms of form factor, design, and UI.

There isn’t a release date for the ZL. I think it is supposed to be $199. Haven’t saw much about with the other lights. The supbeam I think is like the TN30. The terminator looks cool, $135 with discount from GG. Go with your gut. Pretty soon you will have like twenty different choice to pick from, LOL.

From what I’ve read here on BLF Thrunite has some quality control “issues” (ymmv)

Based on this I’d go with one of the other two (or both since it’s your wife’s gift to you,.)

I don’t have any of them, but if I had to choose one it would have to be the TK75. The side switch looks to be convenient and it is much lighter and has the warranty. Yeah I want a TK75.

Yep, they are, except that the Zebralight and Solarstorm aren’t released yet - but should be very soon.

If you don’t have any 3-LED lights yet, Fenix TK75 is definitely newer design with proper battery carrier.
If you already have 3-LED lights, then BS Terminator 4 is definitely worth some consideration.

Would LOVE to see a comparison, surely the TN31 can’t match the Shocker…but it’s so much smaller and weighs like half!!!

I have a SRK as a flooder, now looking at a thrower, probably the TN31. Not keen on anything bigger or heavier than the SRK.

Now heres where I piss people off. Bear in mind Fenix is a well established respected company. Both lights are new to the market. Neither one has really had time for extensive field testing. Some people take issue with the Shockers uber simple design. Saying it’s no where near worth the price tag attached to it. Whereas the 75 is riding on it’s companies ‘rockstar’ reputation. I have a Fenix TK 70… Love it… My Btu is on the way… If it was me? Take the wife to a nice candle light dinner…. Then tell her you need both lights… Lmao

lol… it doesn’t work, already tried. even i bought her iphone 5 for christmas( which could be use to buy 2 of these flashlights), she still only wants to buy 1 light only.
talk about cruelty… hasn’t got much sleep last night thinking about it…i was so close pulling the trigger on TK75, so close that i filled out all the info on shipping and credit card #s on the LAgear website. but decided last second to “sleep”on it.
i like TN30 for it’s size, just wonder the light comparison between them two in term or brightness not throw ( i’m sure TK75 will win in throw due to it’s bigger head size)
i wish there’s a member here who own 2 of these lights and could provide more info on this
i like BTU shocker for it simple and easy to mod design ( for future LEDs conversion?)
