Help identifying emitter

I got this flashlight and need help identifying the emitter. I know it is a cree emitter but other than that I’m in the dark.

I believe it’s an XR-E:

Thats a 3535 footprint right?

Have a nice time here, ordinary_lampshade!

Just googled XR-E, appears Cree still makes these?!

Datasheet shows footprint is not 3535, it’s a 7090 (9070? Not sure there’s a convention).

What light is it? You can likely just replace the LED MCPCB “star”. Should be easier than reflowing an LED anyway.

You’ll also want a plastic centering gasket of the correct diameter for the reflector to sit on.

Depending on your wants, you could probably put in a nichia 519a for nice light quality, or Cree XP-P for slightly more throw.

Also: Welcome to BLF!

It’s this generic light from aliex. Some people have ones that are called “Yupard Q5” but the one I have is called the B11. Yeah I was planning on getting a 519a and a new driver for it. Thanks for all the help.

Very cool. Was planning on getting one too. Where did you get yours BTW?

I got mine from my local flashlight store. It was about $8 USD

FYI those old small-die big-dome emitters often used different profile reflectors, so it might not focus the 519A that well, especially if dedomed.

If you swap it, update us with pics

Will do but I probably won’t get around to it for awhile
