How do you organize your keys, keychains, keyrings?

My key organization is a mess and I am looking for ideas to tidy it up a bit.

At the moment I carry 3 separate keyrings with 6 keys total on them and I’d like to narrow it down to 1 single keyring.

I saw THIS picture at Fancy Flashlights and it looks like a good way to get something like what I am after but perhaps it may be too bulky after attaching 6 clips?

Anyway, I am interested in seeing pics of what other people have or listening to recommendations.

I might be too tempted to maximize it if I’m looking over there for too long :stuck_out_tongue:

Where can I get a clasp like the one from the M11r or a similar one (like the ones from the link)?

edit: CNQ has them, ok. But I don´t need titanium. Are there cheaper versions anywhere?

A chicago bolt. Can’t get more compact unless you cut down your key heads (which I do indeed recommend). Buy aluminum key blanks (ebay) to go ultra lightweight. Some hardware stores have aluminum blanks. :bigsmile:

Thanks everyone, I have some good ideas after reading here and some keychain threads on the EDC forum. Ill be looking in to it a bit more for a few days before I decide what to go with and I’m still interested in what others have to post.

I made one of those pocket tool key rings, even though I don’t use it cause one of the keys doesn’t work, but it has a backup car key on it in case I lock the main keys in the car.

Hopefully its not too bulky or I might have to do something like the 2nd pic Helios- posted above.

I’ve bought a pack of these and I think they’re a bit too small but then again if that’s what you’re looking for it does shrink your keyring.
I like to know where my keys are and I find a small keyring gets lost easier than a larger one.

I may get one of those titanium clips for my Preon P0. Only 5 grams! It needs a clip of some kind to weigh on the little ring that often gets in the way of the magnetic tailcap sticking to things.

I bought some with no intended use in mind. The large one is being used to hang a bug zapper.

For keys, I’ve always used a standard dog clip attached to my belt loop.

I really like the small S-biners but I do find if I am removing my Utilikey from one side of it, my lanyard (clipped in the other side) can come unclipped from holding the biner.

They have some with little rubber lock that slides to stop it opening:

This is one way… It’s called a “Soft Shackle” and manages keys amazingly well.
