How often do you kill spammer posts?

Sometimes hard to distinguish actual curiosity from fake curiosity. I tend to assume it's fake when every 3rd post is an advertisement.

3880 Henry Ford Avenue is a notorious spamming s.o.b.....he was zapped earlier this morn.

Coins just now. Early for them today, huh? I also got 2 last night, shoes and something that resurrected the old april fools thread from jmp last year.

Pitched that coin in the air and ZAP gone! I guess it is fun but I don’t see them very often.

Some torture heading leads to a video game link? How random. Spam Whacked!

Another kitchen seller spam cannoned.

And the same seller with a different username!

This has become a daily rutine now.

A couple random ones this evening, baby boomers or something. We get them pretty fast though. Good work team!

Thanks very much to everyone for their vigilance! Very much appreciated.

A few of the spammers seem to be using a “hit-and-run” tactic of making just one spam post and then not trying again for a few days or even months. The BLF anti-spam algorithm was designed at a time when we were getting mostly high-volume persistent attack style spammers. So the different tactics of a few spammers is why they have sometimes managed to continue making a few spam posts here and there without getting blocked. At any rate, it’s still working admirably well overall, thanks to the watchful eye of BLF users.

LOL... yeah, don't do that, going thru the list one number at a time. I started doing that once and lost about 4 hours. It seems like about 60-70% of the accounts are spammers, though maybe I just happened to start in the middle of a particularly rich (poor?) section of the account numbers... xD

A button that not only kills the spam post but also vaporizes the spammer would be nice… J) Hmmm… a worldwide network of drones loaded with spammer seeking missiles. Click… wooosh… BAM!

Just got a couple, replicas and wedding stuff. It’s been a while for me, so it was fun to shoot them down. Thanks for keeping BLF nice and clear everyone!
