I would invest in Fasttech if it was in USA, like Tmart.
This is the second time DX has fooled us with a “Big Sale” only to find there wasn’t really wasn’t much of a chance at getting any kind of deal. They lied and tricked us and wasted our time. They got our hopes up and made us look like idiots.
I don’t know about anyone one else but their won’t be a third time for me. Ban or no ban, they have lost me as a customer. There are way too many other places to shop to put up with this BS.
Let them do what they want…how will we know if they don’t expose themselves? At least you still have your money with you.
I managed to ‘get’ 2 items from this Huge Half Off Sale at DealExtreme.
However, I’m starting to wonder whether I made the right decision of placing an order or not. The items I ordered last 14 May aren’t shipped yet. The status remained ‘Payment Confirmed’ since that sale day.
I just hope DX decides to send them soon just like the previous orders I had with them. :weary:
save yourself the headache and buy stuff somewhere else
Ok, seeing this video, I begin to understand how people got disappointed.
If you make an ad video with cgi and ‘epic’ music, your offer should better be good . . .
Same for me. I got some oil in this sale but it still has not shipped, together with the other things I ordered. I also ordered some other things. I may open a ticket soon, in case some of the things are not in stock and they haven’t updated the item pages.
On the brighter side, 18sixfifty’s items ordered on that sale has just been marked ‘shipped’. We can look forward to having our items shipped soon, too.

Yeah I think you’re right. I just can’t resist buying that bicycle light I wanted being sold at half the price.
That’s normal for dx, Takes forever to ship, takes forever to arrive, Missing or dead arrivals, takes forever to respond to RMA….and so on
Ordering from DX is a long time hobby.
But finally all orders arrived or got refunded.
Maybe DX don’t like you all. My order after the huge sale already shipped yesterday, and it wasn’t any of the items on offer.

That’s so unfair, DX!!! Everyone else is getting their orders fulfilled. :_(
Almost all my flawed or defective items came from DX. I’ve had items take 4 months to get to me from DX. I stopped ordering from them once I found out there were better dealers out there.
I know Wallbuys gets a lot of flak but considering their prices are often the lowest around, I think they are pretty decent. If I were paying a premium, I might expect more but often I get items WAY cheaper at WB then anywhere else. I don’t fret the tracking and just forget about my order for 3-4 weeks and I almost always get my items. The one time I didn’t get an item, they quicky refunded me without too much trouble. The only thing that bugged me was, I’m pretty sure they just didn’t want to sell me the light because it was so cheap. It was a Small Sun TY-13 for $13 during their Xmas sale. I could have pushed the issue but I scored a lot of other items at half off so I didn’t sweat it.
I finally got shipping notice from DX!!
Chloe… Thanks to you I ordered that oil and a reflector on the 15.
Package got shipped on the 16.
I tried their Live Help yesterday and was informed that the reason why my items were not yet shipped is because its not available in their inventory yet, and that the items they ordered from their suppliers will arrive next week.
They promised to send them next week so I guess I’ll just wait then.

I’m not surprised that they didn’t have the items on hand that is how many of these operate. I am surprised that they told you the truth about it though.
Many moons ago I owned a catalog business for plumbers. I sent catalogs out to the largest 15,000 plumbers and contractors in the nation. (hand singed each one and called each one to make sure they got them) only one tenth of the supplies in the catalog where actually in my inventory, the rest were in a warehouse from my supplier in Minnesota and he got them from Italy. The company name was RUB (Rubinetterie utensilerie BONOMI). I did however make it clear which orders would ship from my warehouse and which would ship from the mother warehouse. Also at times I would have to get something from other suppliers completely. Of course I preferred to sell from and ship from the inventory that I had imported myself because those items were the ones that I made by far the most money on.
Why are you surprised they told the truth? :quest: That’s the best they could’ve replied, sounds good, and logical for the delay.
If not what do you expect them to reply? Could these be the truths instead?
“Sorry, our workers are lazy so we didn’t pack the items yet.”
“Sorry, there are too many orders, we couldn’t pack them in time!”
“Sorry, we missed your order!!! Your order slip actually slipped under the cupboard so we lost it”
“Sorry, our manager screwed up the relationship with the current supplier, we are getting from other suppliers.”
“Sorry, the person who had the key to the warehouse room with your item is on leave. He’ll be back next week!”

I dont’d know if they still have, but when DX was new, they had articles about how they work on their website.
The only actual inventory they had was a kind of buffer storage between the goods receipt and packaging department. Goods were supplied just-in-time from the manufacturers in the area. I guess they operate this way today too. Very low stock, if possible all just-in-time.
Don’t know if they are that open about that today, but it’s not difficult to imagine how delays are possible if a supplier can’t keep their promised volume or DX estimated the demand wrong.
I guess I’m lucky again, but all my ~30 orders arrived in between 1 and 2 weeks after ordering at customs here. That customs need 1 to 3 weeks to send the packes to me is not their fault.
