Due to excessive and inappropriate hate mail, threats, and general misunderstanding, I have found a way to disable Facebook authorization requirements. It should no longer ask you to provide some details to help with anti-abuse systems. Instead I will be hand combing our entries to ensure people are not attempting duplicate entries. Any attempts at abusing the system will be placed on our internal blacklist. I believe this is the best way to appease privacy critics while keeping a system that allows easy entry and for us to run a giveaway easily. We will be looking at alternatives for future events.

Yeah, way to grow a business. 
While I appreciate how labour intensive this is, I appreciate your respect and concern for those that have expressed concern.
It really sounds like you’ve filtered out the human emotion part of feedback and correlated the facts as bullet points and are acting upon them, which to me at least, is a massive positive for your company, since it’s demonstrating you’re willing to take aboard and act upon feedback.
I also desire to take the chance to express my distaste to those that are too gutless to express their opinions openly for scrutiny (looking at the hatemail fraternity and in particular those making threats).
Is it possible that a portion of those emails are from competitors ?

Well it seems that pigs have taken to the frozen skies of hell and I've actually won in this giveaway.
I'm still having trouble believing this, but I did send Calvin a reply just in case the email was in fact more than just a product of my wishful thinking.
I goes without saying that I'm really happy for winning my first ever giveaway and looking forward to getting my hands on this light!
