I’m actually glad I missed out on this one. Totally removed the dreaded “should I or shouldn’t I?” from the equation. No way in hell was this for real though. Scammer all the way. ![]()
It can't be that hard to resist the temptation of assisting an obvious criminal!
You should open up your claim right now. Then in 7 to 9 days, you'll be able to escalate it and hopefully get your money back. Good luck!
I was weak and took the bait as well. I didnt know how low the price was but now i see it is wsy too good to be true. He is selling like $100 worth of stuff for $23. No way this is going to work out. I should have slept on it before jumping in.
what the hell. it's now being sold for 99 dollars. I SHOULD OF BOUGHT ONE. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4500-Lm-3x-CREE-XM-L-3x-T6-LED-4x-18650-Flashlight-Torch-Lamp-Light-Car-Charger-/251012814387?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item3a71879633#ht_7070wt_1037
Same pics, different seller. I checked the feedback of the seller who is selling them for $23 and he sold some bike lights for $18 and recieved positive feedback. Coukd this be legit?
Thats the advert he copied, send me $23 and I will match what ever the others get. ie: nothing!
now: private feedback profile
This is like paying 23 bucks for a trip to the movies... you get drama, excitement, plot twists, and in the end, you walk away with your popcorn eaten and your drink drunk. It's just that this movie lasts for a month.
On a semi-serious note, making your feedback private means that you can't sell ( http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/profile-public-private.html ), so this guy is obviously pulling down his storefront right now. Who wants to guess that the next step is NARU (not a registered user)? I figure I'll rattle the cage at ebay-paypal if/when that happens.
Under his profile it says: This seller currently has no items for sale.
Looks like he's about to run away.
He is long gone!
..
I did the same thing after not receiving a response from the seller requesting a tracking number. I'm sure Ebay and Paypal will catch on pretty quick and deal with this.
How would I do a Paypal claim? I can't find anything on what to do if you already paid and then suspect fraud.
Rich
When logged in, click "details" for the transaction you want to make a claim for and scroll down. There is a blue box stating
"Having problems with this transaction? Please talk directly to the seller and try to resolve the issue with them.
You can still report the problem in the Resolution Centre within 45 days."
Go to "resolution centre" and follow the procedure.
I wonder if that eBay seller knows a member here named Reflection???
Another top ebay post by ilf
Well ILF never told anyone to buy this now did he. But I did put the candy on the table. So from now on when I see crap like this I won't post it here.
Both eBay and PayPal thank you...
Definitely a fraud. When I did a Paypal claim just now, at the end it said that "seller can't be contacted" or some such. I escalated it to a claim.
