Dear all guys,we have begin sell the E2L flashlight last month.
As we had said, we have our ideas on how to build a flashlight,but BLFers need kinds of special edtions…….sigh,
as a manufacture,we have no way to produce too many kinds of edtion of a product. We are facing great difficulty on stock management if there are few kinds of edtion for an E2

So I would rather to decide to sell host instead of keeping few kinds of stock. If you want an speical edtion,then you make it yourself.

But,considering the hosts buyer needs enough DIY skills and experience, so I want sell the hosts to person who are a qualified DIYer. Otherwise we have not time to tell him how to this ,how to do that……so we set a min qty. of host buying——2pcs. I want sell the host to the right person.

While, I have another solution for a special edtion order. That is we making the special edtion order together, and we sell the special edtion flashlights to a middle seller,and dears buy those light from the retailor. I have talked the topic with one of BLFers. I want DHL all the light to him,and he sell the light to the last buyers.

And I have also one idea about host selling. I dont let things turn to be mess and chaos, so I wang sell host one by one, steady by steady. then we will face a more simple situation.

I’m interested. Can we get it cheaper without the LED board? I buy my LEDS pre/mounted. The price ends up being $19 per host. Seems a touch high?

Thank you for offering a host version of this flashlight. Now people can use the parts they want and don’t want in the host version kit

IMHO the min set qty will reduce the sales…
Also, 19$/host is a tad bit pricier than I like…but I’m aware that there was some development costs so I’m ok with that

Thanks Jaxman for providing the E2L as a host for BLF. I think that the information provided with the hosts on your website is perfectly clear, well done!

I should wait for my first E2L to arrive before deciding on buying hosts, but to encourage Jaxman I just bought 2 hosts. I expect that $19 is great for what you get. :slight_smile:

How does a jaxman host compare to a convoy S2+ host. Is there alot of difference in built quality, heat conducting, used materials etc?

I am going to have to do this… I enjoy building triples. The only problem is the LED cost right now makes them so expensive for a finished product. And I just can’t find a driver combo that I like with 219C’s. I do have a 12 amp LD3 driver on the way and I think that may be the ticket for 219C’s.

What does the $19 include? Does that include the MCPCB and 3 emitters + the body and the only thing missing is the driver?

I hope we all will come up with a variety of interesting flashlights using your host, and encourage you to keep making good flashlights.

(And I earlier ordered a complete light, which I look forward to having soon)

:sunglasses: Tomorrow is payday. I definietly buy a pair of host with MCPCB and lens.
One will get Texas avenger driver with XP-L HI leds, and the other I will make it for somebody as he requests or build it with the same TA driver and nichia leds.

Hmm… I think the only stock light that’s close to what the E2L is, is the Manker E14 with quad 219C (4000K 90+ CRI) or 219B (5000K 90+ CRI). For black triple 219s you need to mod for example a Convoy S2+ (or just get the host) with a triple led board, optics and spacer. At least I don’t think there are other lights out there that are black with triple 219… Cheers.

Plus I added a M8 and a few other little goodies too. :wink:

Maybe a dumb question but do any or all of the 3 options come with a glass lens over the TIR?

Edit: Never mind, the banner shows …+Lens on all 3 once added to cart.

I think they mention the TIR as lens. So there is no glass lens.

But the E2L product page (not the host page) says
“JAXMAN E2L equip with a triple TIR lens behind a AR glass.”
