KEYGOS CREE XM-LT6

BTW, you do know that there is a C8 SST-90 right? However that is pretty expensive (65 bucks), so i guess nobody even wants to buy and try modding. It sounds stupid too even with LiMn or Panasonic NCR18650CH (10 amps no sweat at all and does > 2Ah) coz it is single cell....but who am i to say, I have 4pcs of "12-15 amps" DD light. LOL!

The lumen specs on ebay/dealextreme are actually what we affectionately call "chinese lumens". There is nothing wrong with that. For the "12-15 amps" light which is only 150mm long, that would be approx 7000 chinese lumens. Laughing

But there might be a 3 cell SST-90 coming. It could be only 55mm reflector...so well not too much hope. 75mm would be really nice!

If you want to dabble in the throw arena and stay in the sub $30 range, try the HS-802. That one gets about 35-40k lux @ 1m, nearly double of your light.

The best 150mm long thrower would be the Dereelight DBS XR-E aspheric, and yes it is not cheap but it's still sub $100. They have the 1.5A pill now, if the heatsink is done correctly it should be comfortably over 70k. The DEFT is not available now, if not the high-output version may interest you. 150k!

This might interest you. (remember I told you that your pictures are 3 seconds exposure, well the stuff inside this thread is 1 second or "3X dimmer")

Funny, I just mentioned that the other day in another thread discussing these particular lights. You never hear about the SST-90 version. Probably because it's unnecessarily expensive for a light that is already bright for a dang good price.

Also, thank you for answering my question about his exposure time. I was wondering about that and searching for it but couldn't come up with anything. Three seconds does seem quite long. Do we have a standard for the "official" reviews done on this site for camera settings? That would help keep things consistent and reliable.

Well all I can say is this light in those pictures will do the exact same thing live and in person. I had that camera set on nite mode. But if you guys like I will take some more at a faster shutter speed when I can.

I think it's funny when some guys take pictures to share and others start analyzing the shutter speed. Heck buy you one and post pictures for yourself. You won't see me studying the pictures and trying to break down some molecular structure or something. You guys have too much time on your hands that do that. LOL!

I didn't mean anything negative. It just helps to know the shutter speed because that can make a big difference in how to interpret the output. It's not just petty analyzing. It's actually an important criteria to know if we're basing our purchases off of beam shots. But we appreciate all the photo's you provided. I still think I might get one because of the low price ;)

No problem.

I think you will agree for as little as this light is that it packs a huge punch.

Heck, I can make a single AAA-battery flashlight beam almost look like a Tk35 beam if I can play with a long enough exposure.

But the light does look impressive. I can't recall, did anyone measure the amps it is pulling?

This light for the money will give a TK35 all it wants.

What is the diameter of the lens? I'm curious about an aspheric lens for it.

1.769" outside diameter of head of light

Can you give another set of shot comparison with your other throwers with the same exposure settings? I'm looking for a thrower and your reviews are very helpful on what I would get.

I'm all pictured out.

I wonder if this is too big: http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=9111

It seems I would need something closer to 40mm

Mine is arriving this week, as soon as possible I´ll post a review.

Oops.. for some reason I was thinking it had mode memory. This is for a friend and I kind of needed that. Oh well

Well I think you guys will agree with me it's one of the best $25 lights out there. I know I have thought of buying LED Lenser P7 for around $35 off ebay. But then after buying this light I have to ask myself why when I can get better for less with a lot more power.

So much publicity on an eBay light and no one has checked how much it is pulling yet???

Someone out there must have a DMM who has this light...

So how do you check it and what do you set the dial tooTongue out

Heck I just learned how how to check my batteries..LOL

I set mine to DC 10A.

Black lead in COM

Red lead in 10A

Touch black probe to battery (while in the tube)

Touch red probe to threads (since they should be the cleanest part of the body except for lubricant)

check it when I get home if no one beats me to it first
