Now you tell me! Got it today, and charged a 4.30 battery @4.18v in the (4.35/1 amp) setting. Stopped charging — and still charging — after 40 min and measures 4.38v. Did not stop at 4.35v. Promptly discharged to 4.2v. Hope there is no damage done to the battery. Thanks anyway for your belated warning.

I did not say it overcharges. I only found voltages around the normal tolerance of 4.25 V with two units a tiny bit over:
4.210, 4.246, 4.248, 4.249, 4.256 and 4.257 Volt
I would not hesitate using them as is, but personally I prefer to trade some burn time in my lights for a longer lifespan of the batteries.
For the 4.35V position a voltage of 4.38V is safe within tolerances and I would not worry.
The fact that the voltages were within a narrow limit tell me that this could be a quality product but to an exceptional low price. I have found other cheap chargers with not so consistent voltages. I have also thought that Liitokala could have tried to balance on the edge of tolerances to get the most power out of a battery. Is'nt that what we all want?
PS. I know tolerances are different for different brands of batteries but I only try to paint the large picture.
I know Gearbest gets lots of flak for their shipping, etc but I ordered a charger on 12/24, it shipped on 12/30, and I received it today 1/14. So about 20 days from start to finish. It was decently packaged to boot.

Can I use this charger to charge my lion bat (3.7) to a lower voltage ( to prolong life or to store with the life4 setting? I know one setting goes 4.35. One does nimh one does 4.20 for lion. And what does the other stop at
