Those are great for normal retaining rings but will not work for these. The threads are too close and there’s just not enough room. You can take apart a binder clip and use the steel thumb part. I mostly use some steel tweezers and just work one side at a time to break it loose.

I also ordered a set of tweezers too, so hopefully one of the tools will work. I’ll follow your advice and work on one side at a time. Thanks.

Worked for me, yeah you can always rig something bending some tweezers will work too, or a strong enough paper clip.

Does anyone know where we could get one of the white o-rings that go above the clip please?

I know they’re included with the deep carry clips - but if you just need an o-ring I’d reach out to Neal or Lumintop.

I brought two deep carry clips from Neal but I didn’t get any spare white o-ring. Not sure if he didn’t throw them in the package or forgot them.

By the way the thickness of the deep carry clip is thicker than the original clip. The ring part between the body and the tailcap. I had to sand the clip down for it to work with my FW3A. It couldn’t make proper contact with the thickness. For FW1A works fine without modification. Just in case anyone experience the same problem.

FW3A length w 18650 tube = 100.8mm
difference in length of 18350 battery compared to 18650 = 30mm

if above is true, then:
The length of the FW3a 18350 would be 30mm shorter = 70.8mm

I got my batteries tubes this past week. Here is what I measure, rounded to the nearest whole number.

FW1A:
18650 = 101mm
18500 = 86mm
18350 = 71mm

FW3A:
18650 = 93mm
18500 = 78mm
18350 = 63mm

I guess mine is probably hardly glued and I can’t remove it :frowning:
