Monstrous, extreme flashlights of Lumintop GT model line are long-lasting forum project. It began with the Lumintop GT and Lumintop GT70, the world largest flashlights with world longest throw. At the time of release, of course, but they still are on the very TOP. Then GT line continued with the more familiar Mini and Micro and in GT Nano it reached functional and size limit that is so close to the the absurdity.
I am sure that the review will be interesting at least from an entertaining and educational point of view, even if you have no interest in buying this tiniest long-range flashlight.

PACKAGE AND THE APPEARANCE
A thick-walled cardboard box with modest design. But this is well-known Lumintop design modesty, and not sign of noname low-quality.
Set includes: flashlight, 10180 battery, charging adapter, manual and charging cable.
The main feature of the models powered by 10180 batteries is their tiny size. And believe me, the flashlight is incredibly tiny. As classic as the first GT was a huge, Cyclopean lantern, the GT Nano moved towards miniaturization.

Let me remind you what the very first flashlight in the series looked like. It is on the left. On the right, by the way, is the incredibly bright Imalent MS12 flashlight (review)
Despite the fact that Lumintop is only the manufacturer of the GT series (the development lies on the shoulders of forum enthusiasts), they used to create awesome small flashlight even when what they did in full-size 18650 format was just boring and poor.
In short. Technically, this is the same recognizable GT, but on a nano scale. Sort of flashlight bonsai that looks so impressive that my wife, completely indifferent to flashlights, insists on replacing some old AAA-keylight with this one. When she knew that it is just 52mm long, she told that GT Nano would always remind her of me.
There is a 10180 battery inside, the smallest li-ion cylindrical standard I know. Alas, the downside of these tiny sizes is an insignificant capacity. In this case, only 80mah.
It is clear that no third-party charger (except for magnetic models , which still are not good as even 0.A currents will boil battery. GT Nano user needs use a separate charging unit with a micro-USB connector and the simplest red-green indication.
Low capacity means low charging current, so it will take you a little over an hour to fully charge the battery.
The tail is flat, the flashlight canI tailstand. But i dont see any reason you need this ability.
There is a spring in tailcap, while there is contact pad at the head side.
The button is really large for overall size. Perhaps like in way larger 14500 powered flashlghts. It is soft, bulging, with a deep perceptible click and has really dim backlight. It seems that there were complaints about the buttons in the GT Micro. I did not face any problems when was playing with GT nano for a couple of weeks of making this review.
The head is huge in relation to the overall dimensions of the flashlgiht. It even has purely decorative cooling ribs. Why decorative? Check runtime chats below.
Reflector is deep and smooth, looks like a bell. It is really big and wold fit even 14500 / AA flashlight.
At the bottom of the reflector there is an incredibly long-range dedomed LED from the trendsetter - Osram KW CSLNM1.1. It has both giant (for flashlight size) brightness of 450 lumens and throw of 23400 candelas.

Outwardly, the flashlight looks impressive, immediately attracts the eye with unusual proportions for this size. In terms of gift, it is definitely suitable.

for all its toy sizes, the interface of the flashlight is quite grown-up.

in order not to duplicate the text, I will say that there is absolutely everything: shortcuts for turbo / moonlight. Locks and unlock modes and a choice of stepless (aka ramping) and stepped brightness adjustment. In general, you can use it as is, taking 5-7 minutes to read the manual. It is not that complicated like Anduril.
HOW LUMINTOP GT NANO ILLUMINATES.
Cold white light. I did not find any visible PWM flicker.
Light distribution - pure “piercer” with a minimum of sidelight and the brightest hotspot.
Well, now it’s time to find out what to count on in terms of stabilization and runtime.
I will clarify - in a stepless, ramping mode, 50% corresponds to high, 100% - turbo.
Half, i.e. up to 25% brightness falls off after 100 seconds.
So, in my review Lumintop GT Nano shows stabilization only at the level of 6.5%. Looks not that impressive and 15 minutes is not much…Wait, wait for the photos of what this flashlight is capable of in this modest mode. Yeah, btw, with 10440 battery runtime should be way better (not in turbo of course, here it`ll get hot and step down as fast as it does now)
Yes, an important point! For some reason, the 15% mode turned out to be dimmer than 6.4%.
Let me remind you that the declared throw is 300m. And, damn, you have it!. The trick is that you have it for a really short time. The maximum brightness literally dives. But even the smallest mode such as 6.4% give a beam that is simply amazing in range for such a tiny size of the flashlight.
6.4% gives quite visible light at a distance of 50m. And this light turns out to be quite bright and practical. And I remind you that you have 15 minutes of such light. So, you can undoubtly rely on maximum throw to impress people, but you should uses some way lower mode if you need some constant light. Again, even 6.4% will totally cover usual mid-range distance.
All three distances are about 50m. You can see how the Lumintop GT Nano shines at longer distances in the video review, it was not possible to convey this clearly on gifs.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS
The Lumintop GT Nano is soooo funny thing.
Due to battery capacity, of course, flashlight poorly suits for the role of some kind of constant use pocket flashlight. But! It perfectly works as thing to play with.
If you groped it in your pocket or attached to the key-ring, believe me, it will be difficult to refrain from smearing the ray around the neighborhood.
Well, if you really need, then you have 15 minutes at definetely usefull 6.4. This is a 100 working light at a distance of 50m. And when using at a shorter distance (for example, as a footlight), then due to the weak side light, you will only have to move the beam left and right more often then usually.
Due to the unimaginable combination of tiny size and throw, Lumintop GT Nano will definitely be the most suetable WOW! - thing, a very unusual gift. And, that is WOW thing that you can afford.
Yeah, $ 40 is a rather big amount (way less with promocode, actually), you can buy a good full-size long-range flashlight for this price. But the difference in emotions from use will be the same as when you, like usually, drive car or take up the remote control of some rapid RC car. Each of them has 4 wheels, but the experience will be completely different.
Is it possible to do without this flashlight? Hell, yeah!
A usual AAA keylight is 3 times cheaper and will be more practical as EDC. But imagine the situation. You need to buy a gift to some man. And it is sooo difficult to surprise him. He already has everything, or he can afford any wishlist. That is not challenge for him to buy one more expensive bottle of whiskey or knife.
And now Lumintop GT steps in. It can just become such a gift that will give the main thing that the you would like to see - a joyful surprise. No one would expect a pinkie-sized flashlight to have a throw of couple of hundred meters. So I’ll be surprised if the flashlight doesn’t settle on the keychain or in my pocket after then.
In short, Lumintop GT Nano is a peculiar thing. There is not so much real practicality in this flashlight. But it`ll provide you with lot of fun.
So if you need something that can really impress, and somehting affordable - so Lumintop GT NANO is your entry ticket to WOW flashlights. And, of course, if you call yourself flashaholic, you cannot miss the opportunity to add this one to your collection. You cann afford and and this flashlights stays far away from being just one more shelf-dweller.
