Thank you for the description. That’s a surprise! I thought that they might have included the power bank display in the tailcap for the 46950 versions. It’s a nice feature.
After two days of using, charging, using I think the engineers got it right on the amount of thermal path to the body. Constant high output use the handle got warm and stayed usable. It’s output just slightly brighter than the Astrolux EC06. Sustains output much longer with the fan really working it’s part. In the future with the 46 series batteries I’d like to see in addition to LED tint selection a tube length selection. Right now we have from 80mm-120mm lengths with 25,000mah to 43,000mah.

I just happened upon this discussion as i was searching for any and all info on the new 46110 and 46950 lion cells. Genuinely surprised that there are present day flashlight applications for the 46-series cells
On perusing the Nealsgadgets.com site i discovered the new Lumintop GT110 and was shocked at the 46110 cell application. 38,000mAh! I am a runtime fanatic and this is dream come true capacity without fiddly cell carrier arrangements and matched multiple cells.
This is really exciting news! I think it deserves a dedicated thread in the batteries section with an index of manufacturers/models incorporating the 46-series cells. Its a viable alternative to 3P or 6P 21700 setups.
Anyone want to start the thread?
Any idea about the continuous current delivery of these new 46 monsters?
Its an exciting time to be alive!
Great idea. There’s a few more in this thread as well: Big batteries. 46800 and bigger
From my reading 450-1200 watts for these cells 4680, 4695, 46110. EVE makes a 46120 but no data yet. Samsung last week announced. Samsung SDI to produce 46120 cells for BMW in Goed - electrive.com
I ran the flashlight down to the auto shutoff. No light, no functions other than the switch light was on. If I pressed the switch a faint light that would ramp up to a few hundred lumen. Until I released the switch then off again. The last voltage check I did off it’s programmed triple tap was 2.8v. At the this point that feature the triple tap was also off. Meter read 2.72v. I placed the charging cable in the port and got 0.09 amps for a few hours. Still at 2.72v so I removed the tube. I used an Olight UC universal magnetic USB charger, Got a charge reading of 0.71 amps which is right for this charger. After about 5 minutes I put the light back together and it started charging again. Looks like too low a voltage might stop this light from properly recharging. Still a great light with insane runtimes.
This is my experience with the big batteries. They recharge really slow uaing existing li-ion chargers. I tried my 5A li-po and my vapcell S4+ and neither charged the 46950 over 1 amp. It took 2 1/2 days to fully charge it from 3.7 volts! I hope manufacturers inprove the charging for these big cells.
The spare battery is already available. If you think it is too long to charge, you can consider it. According to the manufacturer’s data, 46950 battery PD Charging fully charged about 10 hours
Lumintop 46950 Battery / Battery Pack – flashlightgo Price went up to $41.99 but also includes a 46110 replacement tube and battery option for $54.99.
The Lumintop 46110 battery and body tube arrived yesterday. It fits the Lumintop 46950 light and came at 4.18v. One hour on the charger and it read 4.21V. It only adds 15mm’s to total height.
I got the charging adapter from Amutorch for the 46950 battery and it’s QC capable to 20W. Still, takes a real long time to charge the 32 Ah battery.
I drained the 46110 to 3.05v, 4.5 hours later charging at 1.28 amps It’s at 3.56V. That’s 5760mah and would have charged all but the 26800 cells by now. I kind of look at it now as a huge gas tank giving me very long trips before refueling. And when I have to refuel it’s still just one pump taking enough time to read a newspaper. Draining it took 9 hours on High 1, then 6 hours at reducing levels until I stopped it. For the 3-21700 it’s rated for 4 hours and the 46950 at 8 hours. If you can find them the the Olight universal magnetic charger would be good at charging one cell while using another. It charges at 0.76 amps but whats the rush when you got a spare. Olights magnets stick well on the center contact and the thread top of the body tube. The steel body of the cells is close enough to cause it as the body tube is aluminum.
Could you please give the link to the Amutorch charging adapter.
Update 10 hours and voltage at 3.76
22 hours and voltage at 4.11 Charging input at 4.91volts, 1.29 amps.
26 hours even and it’s fully charged.
And they are using latest and greatest XHP50.2 emitters.
The charging adapter isn’t for sale separately as far as I know. I got it from Neal at Nealsgadgets as part of a review light (the DM90S). You could probably ask him for one and see of he bites. Or contact Amutorch directly amd ask if they’d send one. I really think this cell needs at least 30W charging to be practical though. Even down to 3 v, a full recharge takes over 5 hours.
Did Amutorch change it to a sealed battery pack because some customers accidentally put the batteries in incorrectly?
Nope it’s an adapter that goes on top of the battery.
