Today one end user share his thought in our group. He customed a U12 with cree xhp70.3 led emitter. He is so talented. What a lot of skill!
Nice choice, will Mankerlight be building a few for the less talented?
haha… that guy modified it to 70.3 Hi, but he also afford some risk. He cut off 30% original copper mcpcb and also don’t use original led centering ring. the buttom of the reflector would scratch the led emitter. there have some possibility to damage led and other parts and he also not shared the beamshot whether it is good or not. but he is so happy to DIY. so it is the fun of DIY.
If some U12 owners are the ordinary user, do not need to modify anything. original U12 is upgraded and have good configuration. It can also enough useful for your daily requirement. No necessary to take some more time and spend more money to DIY.
If some U12 owners like DIY but have no good ability to modify it, welcome to buy modified U12 from sky lumen in the future. Sky lumen team have good ability to modify our goods. https://skylumen.com/
Today one end user shared his thought in our WeChat group. He selects SST70 led emitter to modify U12. he test that the light intensity is better than xhp50.3 hi and the beam is also nice, but the light has a little green. He thinks SFT70 should be better than SST70 but he have not purchase this led emitter. I guess he will DIY in the future.
the clearance sale 53% OFF coupone code is still valid. but not sure when one day the inventory is sold out. so if you like it. hurry up catch up this super discount.
Any flaws, Manker said this model has some physical flaws albeit minor.
Haha, some have scratch, but some have no scratch. We ship these inventory randomly. the clearance sale price is so lower, If I was you, I will be no care about the scratch when one or two features such as this U shape design, the engineering, UI, define every level brightness… can make my own interest. You can just count some cost such as the aluminum shell, LED emitter, driver PCB,MCPCB, reflector… and plus expensive international shipping cost, you can find total cost in fact has been more than sale price. We as factory don’t care too much about the profit on cleareance sale, just want to cleareance sale them as fast as possible and then we can have recoup some costs as possible as we can and then take more time to design new version as soon as possible. If you are too much care about the scratch or some small points, as we note what need to know before purchasing in goods description if mind it not to purchase this model. You can wait for new U12 II with excellent features in the future. of course new released model have never the similar super discount.
Really nice build…possible to dedomed the LED
Got mine U12. My sample has no scratches. Time to decomission U11, served for me for 7 years (mainly sitting on shelf, but still ). Now it’s time to get high CRI XHP50.2 and that bezel unscrewed.
Thanks for that deal on U12!
Edit:
Pretty much twins, just one on steroids. Head diameter is exactly the same, but U12 reflectors seems to be just a little bit more shallow.
U12 was develop from U11. so it is similar shape. both are positioned as floodlight flashlight.
MC11 II clearance sale coupon will be ended at 31th Aug., 2023 and will not reactivate this coupon in the future.
What diameter is the LED PCB in U12? And is it 3V or 6V version of XHP50.2?
XHP50.2 is 6V. LED copper PCB is anomalous, diameter is max. 18.5mm.
kindly remind it to all U12 owners:
- If you are ability to DIY other led emitter, just do it you like to get higher performance. If you are the ordinary users, we recommend you not to DIY U12. you cannot afford the risk. original U12 are enough useful for you. no need to DIY. Don’t be too curious about the modification.
By the way, U12 coupon code will be ended 7th Sept. 2023. If you like this version, hope you can catch up last opportunity.
Yesterday evening one end user have shared the thought of U12 DIY. He modified it to SFT70. The light intensity have 2 times than original, the light color is no problem. He can see green color in moonlight, but can not see green color in lower level. He is still so happy to DIY.
kindly remind it to all U12 owners: 1. If you are ability to DIY, just do it you like to get higher performance. If you are the ordinary users, we recommend you not to DIY . you cannot afford the risk. original U12 are enough useful for you. no need to DIY. Don’t be too curious about the modification.
Today jimmy @Jimmy1 ask us the coupon of E14 IV 519A at [New Release] Striker Mini Black/Army Green & Natural Ti & Colorful Skull Ti & Gold Circuit Texture Multi-fuel Pocket EDC Flashlight & Tactical Flashlight - #244 by Jimmy1.

I really liked my E14 III with frosted Carclos, but the LH351D 4000K had really high Duv (no surprises there). If that was updated to 519A 4500K or higher, I would buy another one…
The nice thing about E14 IV is 18350/18650/21700 battery tube compatibility and side clicky.
I hope the next version of E14 (V) keeps those features, but goes back to TIR. The quad domed emitters in reflector pods tend to have some tint shift / pedal artifacts.
I would like to see Manker offer high CRI offering in 4500K/5000K/5700K. 4000K is too warm for my tastes outdoors.
