Massive fraud on 18650s in the Littokala Aliexpress stores!

FYI, real 30Q’s are $3.99/ea. through 2019-05-04 over at 18650BatteryStore. Shipping is quite reasonable within the U.S.

I don’t recommend buying disguised 18650’s from any LiitoKala store and the savings are usually not even that great when compared with real suppliers where you can eventually find sales or discounts.

So i purchased two protected 18650 batteries from them for $5.97 shipped in Feb 2019. I received them and seem to be doing fine in my Convoy S2+. I have not tested discharge rate or mah capacity yet. should i keep or discard? I did not see this thread until today. looks like the only way i can test mah is by using my skyrc charger.

2018 Original LiitoKala 18650 3400mah NCR18650B 3.7 v 3400 mah 18650 Lithium Rechargeable Battery For Flashlight batteries

If their working… keep em’ & use em’.

After a few weeks of use in my Astrolux FT03, I did another test of the LiitoKala Lii-50A 26650:

Again we see a capacity over 5400mAh, which is in line with recent tests by others.

How long are you leaving the cells in the charger after charging is complete?

Details like this are mentioned by Henrik in his reviews. In this case (Lii-500 review), let me quote:

And please note that the charger may still drain charged cells even when powered up.

Solution: remove cells from charger.

Cheers

No. I’ve read the reviews and tests, too, but a 2mA residual drain has nothing to do with my problem. I started a thread, so see here for more.

After finishing, this cell sat in the charger no more than 6 hours and probably less. In fact, I suspect that the cell drained at the full 500mA discharge rate, which would reach the ~2600mAh amount lost in about 5 hours. A 2mA drain would require something like 1,200 hours to drain this cell to 3.68V.

[EDIT] I was probably wrong about all of this as the cell had probably not finished charging after the NOR test was complete. I did not realize that the END symbol blinks until the cell is recharged.

Something must be wrong with your Lii 500 then. None of mine do what you are describing.

The “END” icon is fully lit & not blinking when you observe this??

I have done some of testings with these cells that i got from litokala official flagship store and GTF batteries.

These are GTF batteries, i have 96cells of them. Their capacity is good and perform similar with original cells.
Tests are done with icharger 3010B,

Cells are charged with 1A on Li500 litokala charger and discharged at 4.5A on icharger.

My discharging setup is like this;

These are litokala batteries. 1A charge, 4.5A discharge.

Not every cells are same so be aware.

These are the batteries came from GTF too,

Once NOR test discharging is finished the Lii-500 proceeds to recharge the cells. If a capacity witnessing screen photograph is taken while this happens, something like your above posted photograph can be obtained. Done it many times with my Lii-500 as I seldom allow my cells to fully charge.

:-)

Uh oh. I guess I’d better do more testing as it seems possible that you are right. The End light might indeed be blinking. I thought that I had witness the voltage going down during these events, but perhaps I’m wrong.

Thanks for the correction.

That would explain it. If the END icon is blinking the Lii 500 is not done charging.

I started my odyssey to buy original 30q for my flashlights. I bought a few from aliexpress and it was a fakes cells, i started to read the post to check how could i get to buy my original cells and i started to search in Aliexprees and i found this one

Genuine 30Q?

this seller said that it is original cells and someone in the comments checking the internal resistence for their cells ( 13 miliohns). I think that it genuine and we can trust on them.

Odd. When my microwave oven is done cooking, that’s exactly what it does: blinks “End”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Obliviously you do not have a Liitokala Lii 500 Microwave……

I thought I did, but it’s a fake.

It’s getting so ya’ can’t trust anybody to sell the real deal. :open_mouth:

Checking the reviews of these cells, they seem completely fine? Many reviewers even test them properly.
