I am upset at myself. I almost loose nothing. I have a place for everything, and everything in it’s place.

I couple hours ago instead of driving to the store, I decided to ride my bike (bicycle) for exercise and I have come to the conclusion that somehow between the 7 miles round trip, I have lost my Emisar D4 HPL - HI D4.

While this may not be a big deal as it only cost 58 USD plus the 30Q, I am not very happy because I do not loose things. (PLUS THIS LIGHT ROCKS!)

I am contemplating to ride back to the store on the bike but some was off road, With my career assessment I have decided a 20% possibility of finding it at best. 14.7% to be exact. I am being optimistic.

I just had 9 AR’S I was about to take apart and clean / lube and I reach down after pulling the BCG of the first one and no Emisar………

I am so upset at myself, I have the good new clip and never lost a single clipped knife, including Reeve , Hinderer and other 500 USD plus knives. I am upset about this loss.

Need tissue?
Mike

Sorry for your loss,I hope you find it. I misplaced a souvenir from Italy, searched until I found it!

I am the grammar Nazi!!

“lose” NOT Loose!

My pants are loose because I lost weight!!

I never lose anything!

Punching bag pal, glad I have one to work over

Grammar police are okay. Yes I threw an extra o in there typing too fast. Haha.

Although she might have been to loose in my pocket. LOL

Statement retracted

…except your pants.

But clearly not from the punctuation department.

Lightbringer, I have read many of your posts and you are very good at calming people down and or breaking up tension. Thank you for that.

There are NO specifications or rules about being exuberant!

Good one. Almost as witty as wolfdog!

How’s it clipped?

I got an MH20, and I keep it inside my pocket but clipped to the edge. It’s also got a bit of a deep-carry clip, so I don’t have 1/3 of the light sticking out of my pocket like an antenna. Unless the majority of the light disappears inside my pocket, I don’t keep it clipped at all.

No worries. :innocent:

I always clip everything inside my pocket. I would never consider any other way.

Well, there has been an update to this major, major catastrophe. While I decided to throw the my Colt LE9620 with Magpul furniture and my DD AR back in the safe, I felt something under my leg while I decided to take a break and blast YouTube music videos on the smart TV.

Yep, washed the sheets and comforter last night, and when I woke up and made the bed I dragged it under the comforter. How……comforting. LOL. I never loose anything…. Hahaha

Wait , that means I went several hours without a light on me!!! Maybe 3 hours max. But still that is crazy. Stuff slips your mind when you know today is the day your going to tell your several year girlfriend time to let her go.

sp5it, no I don’t need a tissue, got plenty of drink and a few boxes.

Hmm, I goggled some pix, and I only see it with the clip oriented lens-up, and yeah, about a third of the light above the clip.

That’s bad enough with a long light, but with a short light, and especially riding a bike (constant flexing, bending the leg would tend to push the light out of the pocket), it seems like a recipe for disaster, or at least losing the light.

I imagine it’s not available with a reversible clip, lens down, and with a deep-carry option?

Thorfire and Sofirn both offer pretty sturdy clips, but they’re cheap-looking, chrome instead of matching the color of the light (or at least generic black), and with a wide “belt” that hangs onto the light.

Fasttech offers a rather nice deep-carry clip for about a buk, that’s made for S2s/S2+es, matte black, narrower “belt” (the ‘C’-shaped part that grabs the body of the light), and that also fit my UT20 perfectly. On Thorfires/Sofirns, it’ll fit, diameter-wise, but the narrower belt will let it kinda flop around in a wider groove. Still, if it fits the light and lets it sink down lower if not disappear into the pocket, it may keep the next light from popping out.

Now… if this pic is accurate

then a) it looks reversible, b) it seems to have a narrower groove, so c) the clip from FT should fit perfectly.

Here ya go…

Go crazy…

gonna loose her?

How can you be exact about that?

Third result.

Yeah, I later found that pic I posted from right here on blf suggesting it’s reversible.

The 4th pic, on the pink… rug?… that would be a nice deep-carry clip, and keep it from being squished out of a pocket.

I feel ya, bro. Once in 2017, I went to the market and when I got back, I felt that there wasn’t a torch in my pocket. My Convoy M1 was missing! I thought it’d fallen from the pocket (which is admittedly loose on the pants I was wearing that day) and clattered to the pavement of the parking lot as I was getting out of the car; I went so far as to ask in the “Lost & Found” section if someone had taken it there. No dice. Needless to say I was upset, maybe more than you because for my economy, a light plus the almost-impossible-to-import-anymore 3400mAh 18650 inside it is expensive.

I was lucky to have a happy ending for it, though: a few months later I was putting my sunglasses on the little tray above the driver side door, and there was something blocking the case from going in. I reached in there and SURPRISE!, the M1 was in there  Boy I was as stoked as a toddler in a candy store on clearance sale day. Now I’ve learned to trust my pockets and my ears, and REMEMBER CAREFULLY where I put my stuff.

Still relevant: I’ve been commuting to work and back by bicycle since last year, and I don’t take any chances: the AA and AAA lights go in my hip pouch, and when it’s dark enough (DST or winter) I carry my 18650 torch inside my bag.
