Can anyone tell me, for a 3-3.5A XM-L2, which new high capacity 18650 will give the least voltage sag, the LG MJ1 or the Sanyo/Panasonic GA?….

They are very close at a 3A load, with the MJ1 slightly better. But at higher loads, the GA is the stronger performer. See the testing here:

This cell is commonly sold as “3500mAh” cell, and Olight even make a “3600mAh” protected battery with it. The datasheet says: - Rated Capacity: 3300mAh (0.67A discharge at 20°C) - Capacity (Minimum): 3350mAh (0.67A discharge at 25°C ) Capacity (Typical) 3450mAh (Reference only) It’d probably be better to call it a 3400mAh cell.
