Yeah, those 5000K XP-L are pretty much tint perfection IMO. Here's the deal: when you buy from Mouser, Digikey, and a lot of bulk suppliers they only give you a Kelvin range, and maybe the group categories "E3, E4", etc. You usually only get the full descriptor code, e.g. 1C, 2C, etc., if you buy the full reel from Cree. I'm not quite sure why a lot of the bigger companies don't give the full reel code; my guess is that most of their big customers don't ask for it.

Richard, are you still able to obtain the red Efest IMR16340 V2 550mAh battery? Over at batteryjunction.com they say it has been discontinued, and replaced by a 700mAh version.
As far as I can tell the new ones are marked 700mAh. I don't think the 550mAh version is available anymore.
Finally got in some of the XP-L HI V2 1A & 3C LEDs.
Also, I am finishing up the listings now, but I will also be carrying UF-T20, UF-1405, and UF-1504 zoomie hosts. These are my favorite zoomies and the quality on this batch is top notch. I have put a few together to check them out and I am impressed with them.

Got to say, for me it is a great tint… I am impressed with THIS batch of 2B’s… The problem is that these things will change and in a few months or whatever, we will all be lamenting the loss of the “good” 2B’s… LOL circle of LED’s

With the XP-L HI it will hopefully throw way beyond it’s size.

The Efest 550mAh cell had a good run. I think it has been around since 2011, and performed very well in tests done by HKJ and dampfakkus.de. Those two testers have not yet tested the 700mAh version, but according to a user test here on BLF, it does not look very promising.

Probably the best IMR16340 still available is the AW 550mAh. But who knows, maybe Windyfire will surprise us with a top performing 16340, like they did with their 600mAh 14500 battery.
