Ordered one try out today.
Anyone now how big the driver is?
From the pic of the bottom of the head I think it’s a 17-20mm driver
any possibilities for host only?
I like the way it looks, will probably end up ordering it by the end of this month smh lol
Just received my unit. X7 uses ThorFire Copper MCPCB. No idea if it is DTP though.
Didn’t I see this at Gearbest presale to he shipped between 29 August and 01 September?
Does this light have a claimed lux output / throw?
Mine shipped on the 26th (ordered on the 19th), although a later shipping date was shown.
freeme, the thermal pad usually protrudes a little from the non-terminal sides of the emitter. You should be able to measure electrical continuity from these protrusions to the mcpcb base with a needle-type probe, if it is DTP.
I think I finally found the host for the MT-G2 build I have been wanting to do.
Unlike Noctigon, there are no protrusion points for continuity test.
Screw failed to secure down the MCPCB. Thermal paste looks thick.
Triple mockup (w/o connections). Can someone work on copper spacer or convince EE to have this in stock form?
I don’t know if this have been asked before but what the driver size 17mm ?
I will defenetly make spacers for triple, but EE prices may be more interesting.
I hope head is little larger that X6 and 32mm board don`t requires sanding down?
Looks like the screw is more for anti rotation duty, does the board get pressed by the reflector when the bezel screws down?
How is the light actually without any moddings?
Too bad. May still be able to work a needle tip in there though.
I see they are using the same style centering gasket that eats up the corners of the emitter on the X6 HI model, easily fixable though.
As mentioned the screw is to prevent rotation, not really for holding down the mcpcb.
ThorFire?…that is interesting.
I didn’t even notice that…. verry interesting indeed.
Not realy, the original X6 BLF came with a Thorfire DTP, so i presume this one is also a DTP one
Yet, as it is it aint that interesting torch but as a tripple…hmmm…could be a “go”
I think its time for X8 and the 60+ mm heads/ a host form too- that i something that in lacking in the producer`s portfolio
Deal breaker?
Body tube is narrow and it will not accept fat cell like Keeppower protected 26650 or high capacity cell like LiitoKala 5000mAh. I only manage to get it work with King Kong (gold) and Palight 26650 so far. Be prepared to get your own battery sleeve if you wish to use it with 18650.
Not quite.
Claimed values: 0.01A, 0.2A, 1.2A, 2.8A
Actual values: 0.12A, 0.46A, 1.33A, 2.48A measured from tail.
:weary: For me it’s a deal breaker sadly. I only have Liitokala 5000mAh 26650s
