I’m hopeful they will make the bezel smaller again. 35mm too wide for EDC for most people.
D Looks to be the most aggressive easiest to hold on.
Yeah, except that the rendering presented in the Reddit thread shows they’ve tossed all the original candidates, peoples’ votes, and designed a slightly different light…which also appears to lack provisions for a clip.
Assurances of a boost driver are good, but I’m leery of buying another light with that charger port, which will not accommodate many cables with overmolds that are too large for the opening, and gimps one of its features.
That’s a big issue of many sofirn lights too - USB-C specs exist for a reason, and the include max overmold sizes. I own 1 cable that actually fully uses the allowed size, no chance at all to charge a SC32 or HS10 with it. But even many smaller cables that are quite far from max spec don’t fit. That’s just bad design practice. If you use USB-C, use it correctly and by spec. If you don’t follow USB-C specs, maybe make a light without charging port instead.
Whatever you do, please also make a matching styled short tube for it…These lights are far too big in full battery. I’m using the 26350 tube, so really any design changes shown are pointless–they are on the main body tube. I would actually really like a short tube with the current slim waist design on it!
I find it interesting how many people hate the current style, yet a great deal of those people Love the TS10 which is identically “slim waisted”.
I have no problem with the driver; if learn to program the software, you can do A LOT to change the thermal regulation and step down times with tweaking the factory settings. Then, im in a much colder climate than most, I Never really see much step down, even in the summer…
Much prefer step down as voltage drops than a regulated light that suddenly shuts off with no warning. Go to full regulation and you’ll lose this customer.
LOL, goes to see that you can’t please everyone.
No regulation and you lose me as a customer. So pick your poison Wurrkos
The frustrating thing about this instance is that it’s not far off spec – within 1mm according to my measurements.
But, whomever designed this cover/port combo, which is one of three common types that these two brands use in their lights, either didn’t know about the spec, or ignored it.
So every model where they choose to employ this port is affected, and it’s not an isolated incident.
An even greater sin was to omit the pull-down resistors in the connector, which practically everyone did when Type-C started to appear, and make the “USB-C charging” 50% functional.
That said, they’re far from the only company to run afoul of the spec, from the very largest to the very smallest. But it’s still frustrating.
Huh, I have not seen that on any Sofirn I own (so should not be on Wurkkos either). Were you referring to any particular light from Sofirn/Wurkkos, or just in general? Some Olight models suffer from this (All Gober batches but the latest, red one, for example).
It’s Terrys pleasure my man. We will try our best to produce a nice boost model ; )
Thanks for your support my man. The TS25 upgrade version would come with the new ice cream shell and boost driver ; )
It would be very nice if the TS22 got the same or similar Anduril boost driver. I’ve wanted a TS22 for a while but the UI keeps me from buying.
There are no XHP70.2 or XHP70.3HI lights of that size with that much power, with Anduril.
Closest might be the Emisar D1K but that is not as comfortable for EDC and only 24W, around 2000lm max.
We think it is a brand new model. So we gave up the name of TS25 V2, replace to TS26
Got it! But I think that could only available on TS10 max
By TS10 Max do you mean a bigger TS10 for 21700 battery? My preference is for side switch lights, it is why I liked the TS22 body, similar to TS21 which I liked a lot.
Will the max diameter be larger? I think if it’s wider than the TS25 it becomes too big for pants pocket EDC. I have big pockets and my max is 33mm.
Um…Just shared a new design. We hope to know the community’s view of new design. Then many people told us that they like this new design more.
Hey Moritz,
I heard the important information. Could you show me the right USB-C specs exist? Let’s try to solve it now.
Got it! We have the compatible 20350 tube too ; )
The specs should be on here https://www.usb.org/sites/default/files/USB%20Type-C%20Spec%20R2.0%20-%20August%202019_0.pdf
I am looking for the right page number and I will edit the post with it.
EDIT: Pages 57 and 58 specify the maximum overmold dimensions.
Length of 35mm
Width of 12.35mm
Thickness of 6.5mm
I think this has to do with the TS10 being tail switch, so it is easy to hold in a cigar grip, but the TS25 is a side switch light, so you would hold it normally.
The bigger TS10 for 18650 battery.
Same body, with a larger head. Maybe 36mm
