Exactly what is the problem with the SFN43 LED in this flashlight? Why are they discontinuing it already? The only thing I could find here was someone wrote that led heats up too fast in a different flashlight, and I couldn’t find any reviews of this flashlight, has anyone even got one?
3400lm and the RGB AUX Button Light are what attracted me to this, but since it’s now been put out of production right out of the gate, I’ve already missed the sold out NW version. I guess I’ll get a CW… but are there terrible issues with this SFN43?
For the next version I’d also prefer a XHP50.3 HI option, since I already have the FC12 / SFT40.
I have one. SFN 43 really a poor choice of Led.
The beam shot shows a distinct reduced light level in the immediate centre. Almost outline of the Led that you normally see in very cheap lights.
Best wait until alternatives can be offered.
Rushed to bring to the market by Wurkoss.
I love the new texture of the flashlight. I love the compact form factor and how it can Lego with Wurkkos and Sofirn 18650/18350 parts. Love how the aux on high gives a lively take on a serious light.
I hate the temperature rise of the light. It must be the emitter? ATR doesn’t really matter when the body starts to become too hot to comfortably and safely use. That’s coming from someone who uses a TS21 Nichia to look for stuff in the house.
I guess for short bursts and kicks, it’s a good light. Long term walk from here to there for the next 15-20mins? Might as well try a different light. It does cool down quite fast so it’s best used in bursts for me, I guess.
It’s the emitter. It’s such a poor choice by Sofirn and Wurkkos. In a large host, multi-cell, with big head and cooling fins - maybe. Literally the only reason I didn’t get this light - which is a shame because I really like the look of the host.
Thanks for verifying my concern. It’s a darn good host, if I may add. It just gets HOT. Now it seems I’m stuck with another potential shelf queen. Maybe something for the tool shed. And I was so much convinced by the fb page showing how good and floody it actually is.
Yes the orange accent does look nice and adds a flair to the light. I think you should focus on the LED choice as first priority. The orange bezel will be a deal breaker only for the selected few “perfectionists”
