Nitelab Launches ther new emitter: UHi LED (Ultra High Intensity)

Yet another ‘Yinding 5050’-like chinese LED.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Chinese manufacturers copy each other.

The thing with LEP is not just more throw though. It’s the zero spill that also sets it apart from the ordinary optics LED lights. Putting LED in a reflector generates tons of uncontrolled spill, not exactly an LEP competition. At least give it a well engineered throwy TIR then I’m interested.

Just put the LED behind an aspheric lens and you will get the same result.

Now that you reminded me of one guy modding a Yingding round die LED into a Convoy Z1 and it actually worked really nicely. I just despise the ugly square die projection.

But with a round die You won’t have a square projection

MH12 Pro is the first product to adopt UHi 40 LED

3300 lumens? There’s no way it’s the 5050. Maybe they are using the 7070.

Probably the 9090 size. No way the 7070 can do that kind of output and cd. These LEDs typically don’t perform to spec anyway.

Just look at their earlier led from the mh40s model

mh40 round led 2mm2= 1500lm
uhi40 4.53mm2=3300lm

It just looks like a larger model with the proportions of the specification preserved

I must subscribe myself on this thread and what to say? Lets detect yin ding manufacturer already!

I think they’re made by Sa’an Optoelectronics in China, or Lattice Bright but again, unconfirmed. Same with the GT9090 leds (the Sbt90.2 clones) and the Sfxx and other non-homogenous multi die LEDs. It could be multiple places with license agreements (or clones).

Nitecore is releasing a penlight with this led. It looks very promising.

Older thread, but just thought I’d mention what I love about it

I saw a lot of reviews before buying a nitecore mh12 pro and many mentioned the green tint.
Bought one cause I needed a bright handheld flashlight.
Now because of my use environment I don’t want one that doesn’t have the UHI led.
The green tint has really helped with reflected light from air particulates providing more clarity, and less distortion.

There are 4 pictures in the album. What lights do they show and was the camera white balance (WB) the same for all?

Didn’t change anything on the camera.
All from the same angle and position just changed between the fenix, and nitecore.
Both running on turbo, camera zoomed to 5x.
Distance about 60 yards.

2 pictures with fenix 36R pro, and 2 from the nitecore MH12 Pro with UHi40 led. Ones with bluish white tent are the 65000k fenix bulb.
Pictures you can see most details in is the MH12 Pro.
