Bad flash is strange, if you use pogo there’s no firmware upgrade without good connection
Bad flash is strange, but no other feasible explanations have come up yet. I’ve occasionally had issues correct themselves just by reflashing, so it doesn’t seem very far-fetched.
It sounds like LEDs 3 and 4 might be backward in firmware though, so I should probably swap those. I took a guess about which one was “channel 2” and which was “channel 3” on the order form, and may have guessed wrong. They’re both on Timer A, outputs 0 and 1… so I put 0 first and 1 second. But it looks like it may be 1 first and 0 second.
Oh, so this is why the only hex I got out of the make command is the d4k-3channel…

Guilty as charged.
It is still an experimental dev branch… the API keeps changing as I learn more about what it needs to do and come up with more ideas for how to do it better.
So I keep breaking everything and then fixing lights one by one… then breaking stuff again and fixing again… etc. Once it’s solid and everything works, I’ll merge it and move on to the next project.
This sounds like the workings of the easy-mode “build your own custom hex”. I’m happy to wait!
I made a noctigon-kr4.hex version 763 (I just added function set_level_zero(), I hope this is sufficient) and tested this on my D4K …
I like the “smooth steps” very much!

Looks great!
Maybe also available in 1x Uv for 3ch D4K too?
I’m IN!
Looks like it’s just a TIR with the lenses drilled out, so probably easy (less effort, even) to do one.
Curious to know if the glass lens on top is kept too
Yes, this would get me into buying a UV flashlight (or mod a d4v2).!
It definitely is, it’s just the driver that would be an issue. Seems like it also loses front aux, but I guess with the RGB switch it’s not as big of a deal now.
Definitely is, or the filters and TIR would rattle, looks to be done the same way as the UV K9.3 by using shorter reflectors.
interested! but white red uv, are triple channels using 4 leds only? or you sell em 3 led too?
There’s no model with 3 emitters yet, no clue if it’s planned either but if it was, it would probably use the carclo triple TIR, where the driver size would probably be too small for a 3ch.
bro, you are quick. thanks very much
Interested in D4k 2Ch and 3Ch. ![]()
Interested in the D4V2 dual channel with UV.
Interested in D4K 4-channel. ![]()
A D4K form factor light with a single boost-driven XHP 70.3 HI or 50.3 HI and TIR optic would be an instant buy, too.
