Got a new 861D+ hot air rework soldering station today. Works much better than my Sparkfun 303D. It’s quiet, heats up quicker. Plus, when you put the handle into it’s holder, it goes to sleep.
I paid $133.99. Less than half the price of the Quick 861DW. They are basically the same. BTW, my lights don’t flicker like Louis’s did.
Swapped the Infinity for a Chane A2.4 since the Infinity was a tight squeeze on the shelf and I couldn’t bring it forward as much as I wanted. That flat panel leaf tweeter is pure bliss - fantastic detail without any hint of harshness. Really great. Although the Infinity is excellent as well.
Some Wally World outdoor Solar. Gotum after watching a video and was sold on just the tint alone. Bout 3000-3500K.
While the street light is neat, stays on Dim all night and gets Bright when motion activated, it has build quality issues. Zero seal around the solar panel and no drain holes in the light. Lowest holes inside go into the battery box and the bottom door on the battery box is nicely sealed to keep that water in once it gets there. Came with 2X unprotected button top 18650 rated at 1800mAh but mine tested to 1625-1678mAh out of 4 batts (2 lights). Street light is Brown plastic. If you can Fix it, it’s a winner IMO. I made several upgrades to mine.
Smaller light also 3000K is a better build but does not have an all night Dim mode. It’s off or ON with motion. This light came with 2X 1200mAh 18650 ans a detached solar panel you can mount and angle towards S. This light is Black plastic.

Even though it is almost as tall as a S2+, I was expecting something bigger. Guess my hands are too big for this knife, but acceptable for 3 finger grip. Very lightweight.
I’m thinking about ordering one. I’m driving my surround system with an old Cambridge Audio 540R mk2 6.1 receiver. It sounds great, but it only has analog and optical inputs. It has no HDMI. I’m thinking about upgrading.
Mine does have basic HDMI support, but no 4K, although I don’t have a 4K TV, so it’s not an issue. One area where it lacks is room correction. From what I’ve read, Denon’s Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is one of the best room correction systems out there. It can even EQ multiple subs.
wrong its 8000-14000nm
usual ranges are –20-250°C
there are more expensive ones that get calibrated to higher temperatures usually up to 650°C but thats pretty expensive if you want a precise tool not a cheap Chineese guessmeter
I got a Fluke TI125
calibrated –20-350°C (total –30-385°C)
