Non Flashlight orders/received

I think you're right.

By the way, just about the only time I need packing tape is when I have to return something I bought online as I don't sell my stuff very often.

Technically received yesterday but I can start using it around 1700 today.

Vremi dehumidifier

I live in Arkansas USA and itā€™s so humid here! Itā€™s a real problem. Perhaps surprisingly, ESPECIALLY in winter! Hopefully this helps.

I hope that works for you. I donā€™t like high humidity either so I guess it is good we live where we do. Here we struggle to maintain the interior humidity at 25% in winter. Outside the humidity is now 44% but will fall to30% as it warms up.

Unguent. I need unguent.

Iā€™m dessicating like a mummy over here. Skinā€™s actually cracking and bleeding from like zero humidity. Getting electromocuted just putting on or taking off a synthetic-material shirt, or fleece thingy (anything: pants, jacket, blanket), or even just petting the cats.

Been running a humidifier 24/7, barely making a dent. My clock/thermometer/hygrometer is permanently stuck on ā€œLLā€ (low-level, below 20), and I was wondering if it got broken. So I bought a pair of AccuRite thermometer/hygrometers, both agreed to the digit on both temp/hum, did the saturated-salt check (~75%RH), and yep, it was down to like 13 at its lowest when the humidifier would run out of water.

Even now, like 6ā€™ away from the humidifier which I keep on refilling, itā€™s only reading 23%.

I like (but ran out of) Gold Bomb, the ā€œhealing formulaā€ or whatever. Doesnā€™t stank (much), soaks right in, isnā€™t greasy, and I donā€™t bleed out on my knuckles anymore. Gotta go get some moreā€¦

Speaking of humidifiers, any recommendations for a good budget one?

I have one of those Crane water drop shaped ones, but it just canā€™t keep up when itā€™s so cold and dry like this.

No specific brand to recommend. But, depending on the hardness of your water the ultrasonic type may not be a good choice. They create a cold mist that distributes even the mineral content of the water. Our water has such a high mineral content that leaves a fine white dust all over.

A humidifier that boils the water leaves the minerals in the heater assembly which needs regular cleaning. But no mineral dust gets spread in the rooms.

One could use distilled water to avoid the minerals problem but that is expensive.

We use water from a RO water filter system. That removes virtually all the minerals as well as other bad stuff. We have a high level of natural arsenic which was the main reason for the RO system. We have the side benefit of mineral free water for the humidifier.

Yeah, I know all about it. I use water that first goes through ZeroWater filter. If I donā€™t, my HVAC filter gets completely plugged up in a matter of days. Kind of scary to think this stuff could also get into your lungs.

I received these metal clothespins about a month ago.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CTWLJ1R

They used to only be available in a 24 pack, but now you can buy many different sized packs.

(The 42 pack is the best deal per clothespin.)

These clothespins are replacing wooden clothespins that cause splinters and eventually break.

These clothespins have excellent grip, even in extremely windy conditions.

I don't like all of the colors, but that doesn't matter too much to me.

I ordered some more yesterday so that we can completely quit using our wooden clothespins.

I have a few of those, but I donā€™t use them as clothespins. I use them as bag clips for chips ant thtle like. I love ā€™em just the se.

We have some other metal clothespins that we use for bags of chips and bags of cereal.

The other metal clothespins are not strong enough to hold up actual clothing, except maybe socks/underwear.

These thingies are kewl for sox and unnerwear.

Got those a while ago. Ancient ones I had, also plastic, eventually got brittle and cracked apart, so decided to ā€œsplurgeā€ and get new ones. Niceā€™nā€™compact, and all clips built-in.

best one we have ever used.
bad news: they are discontinued.

Bought 4 Pinecils. Two for the Faraday Cage at the coast house, one for the faraday cage here, once to screw around with. Ho-lee f, these kick ass. Better than a TS100 or a TS80. Plus, 4 cost about $100 total. Much less than my Pace 200 and they get the job done. Suggest upgrading to a knife edge tip instead of the pointy tip that comes with it. Takes standard TS100/Quicko tips that run @ $7.00-$8.00 for now. They also have some sweet USB c to USB-c silicone wire connectors for under $4 that are very worthwhile.

Great soldering pen. https://pine64.com/product/pinecil-smart-mini-portable-soldering-iron/

If you want to run it off of a battery powerbank, just make sure that bank is running over 30W or so (MIN). This thing wants 60-65 watts optimally, takes both PD and QC 3.0. 5 volts as are common with many battery banks is not enough so check the specs first. I believe itā€™s 12V min. A Toshiba laptop charger - DC5525 barrel DC jack, will do it as well. Great product, amazing price.

Was quite a bit behind on replenishing my underwear supply. Bought several boxer briefs from Uniqlo, Tommy Hilfiger, and Nautica. Macy*s was having a killer sale. $15.60 each for the 3-packs of Hilfiger and $11 for the 3-pack of Nautica. Uniqlo is Supima cotton and usually sells for $7 each. Theyā€™re all really good & comfortable. Cheapest Amazon price Iā€™d found was $22.50.

This is the one that we have...

It works amazingly well.

It was $14 when I bought it.

I don't know how good the adjustable handle version is, but that version is cheaper right now.

By the way, if anyone is looking for a sink/drain plunger, this one works great.

Yesterday we bought a new bike for my daughter (a BMX) and decided to grab a good air pump for myself.

We have that one as well and it works great.
