Official Group Buy Now Live! Lumintop BLF GT4 4x XHP70.2 30,000 lumen 1300m 7lb passive cooling beast!

Odd, works for me - how do I make it appear inline?

There's a link in my signature on how to post pics on BLF, but posting Google Photos usually doesn't work.

Great stuff, thanks for the image posting guide.

Here is my photo of the GT4 packaging:

Great!!!

Can someone please explain how this light outputs 32k lumens (as measured by Mark Smith) if XHP70.2 is rated to 4292 lumen max output? So even in theory it should go beyond 4x4300lm = 17200 lumen, shouldn’t it?

Where are you seeing 4292 lumens max? Does it state what amps is getting that lumens? lumens output depends on amps, so, it's common now to run LED's well over stated maximums in a spec sheet.

Here you can see the XHP70.2 is capable to exceed 8000 lumens: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/49020. but look at the amps and voltage.

The official rating is based on an input current of 4.8A, we are driving them with closer to 14A-15A each, so naturally the output is going to be a fair amount higher then the official rating

These have been tested to over 20A but the gains are well into diminishing returns at that point.

Also tested here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/48661, by Texas_Ace

CREE states it's max output at 4.8 amps in 6V is 4292 lumens here: https://www.cree.com/led-components/products/xlamp-leds-arrays/xlamp-xhp70-2

If you notice, TA's tests show at 4.8 amps the output is very close to what CREE spec'ed.

Tom E, yes this is the spec I saw. I get it now - it’s a bit like CPU overclocking
I have more questions but I’ll ask them in the relevant threads.

Thanks guys!

Did anyone get Neutral White version? Is it 5000k?

I have 5000k Convoy M3 with similar LED and the tint looks good. If one can get the same tint on GT4 it’s huge.

The NW seems to be using a 4000k 80cri LED. Guessing leftover stock from the GT70.

It seems to have a bit of a yellow/green hue that bothers some and others do not notice. I have not seen it personally as I was sent the CW.

EVEN BETTER! Do you have beam pics on the off chance?

Sorry, I was sent the CW version so I don’t have a NW version myself.

I think someone else posted a beamshot though.

Finally got down the local park last night for some beamshots. My GT4 is CW. The conditions were a clear cold starry night, but with some moisture in the air.

So here is the beamshot, with reference point tree highlighted:

And here is the measurement:

So 408 metres roughly. This is on Turbo of course. The flood is huge, the photo (taken by my long suffering wife) does not show it's full extent, and shining the light on those closer houses up the hill to the right is like daylight. Interestingly even on High the distant tree is still visibly lit.

Hope this gives some perspective on how the GT4 performs!

If anyone interested in this one in Australia, liteshop.com.au has it in stock now (I’m not affiliated with them). I had a chat with them and they are willing to negotiate the price down roughly to “Neal’s price”-“group by coupon”+GST which is a no brainer IMHO. Too bad they won’t have NW version before 8 weeks from now so I ordered one from Neal. Hope it will arrive before 8 weeks time

Don’t be too optimistic particularly with Neal, I ordered a NW from Neal 7 weeks ago, still same unfulfilled status.

Not really surprised after reading positive/negative threads about Neal’s service recently. I said to myself that if he doesn’t ship it by Dec 1st, I’ll cancel the order. I’ll appreciate if you can update me (either here or PM) when yours ships.

In this case I think that the main issue is that Lumintop can not get the parts to build the lights and send them to Neal. Thus far anytime they have sent lights to Neal I have seen shipping status updates posted here over the next few days.

I am still waiting on some GT90 carriers from lumintop for going on 7 months now.

My CW shipped within 72hrs and arrived in less than a week FWIW.

It did have a very small problem for which I emailed the address on Neal’s website and never got a response, however I was able to get over the issue; still foreboding though
