Sorry n10sivern, don’t get angry on me, I completely missed the discount code/s from OP, I was also unaware that we can buy this light already. Story was it will be soon, not yet, another day or two and then I stopped following this thread because there was just too much talk and so litle time that I had that I didn’t even notice lights are ready for ordering & shipping…

I was actually pleasantly surprised as Gearbest came back with better prices than they initially told me. They got the pressure switches for a good price for those that want them. The price on the host is a good price (I just ordered 10 of them). They have an amazing prize on the UF-1405 (the cheapest I’ve seen yet). I didn’t need one, but I ordered another anyway! Hopefully everybody’s orders arrive promptly and safely and you all are happy with the product.
For all of you buying hosts, what emitter do you plan to use?
I bought the 10 hosts to throw some XR-E’s in that I have leftover from pulling out of other lights

Red xp-e2 p4 and white xp-g2 s2 1d (s3 1c if I can find them) and xp-l v6 1a and maybe an xp-e2 torch
De-domed xm-l2 and de-domed xp-g2. Have not decided exactly on which tints I’ll use.
I can’t decide between buying the 1504 and using an XP-G2, or the 1405 and using an XP-L and buck driver…
dedomedxpetorch, just to see the pencilbeam. But it might end up with a xpl...
What’s gonna give more throw? XP-L or XP-G2? Both dedomed, both close to 5amps.

I do not know. Hopefully when we buy out of all of this they will reorder and it’ll last through that as well. I would suggest ordering sooner than later though. The only thing I don’t think they will sell out of is the pressure switches as they ordered more of them than I thought they should. They are cheap and will eventually sell out as I don’t think anybody else sells them, but not immediately unless KKW and I hit them up. KKW and I have already bought up 25% of the hosts.
I believe if we make this host group buy a success then Gearbest will be more receptive to getting hosts in the future. Everybody has to remember this is a new area for them. I’m about to push them to get some better batteries and try to help them offer some of the items we will be most interested in. It honestly has been a pleasure dealing with them to get this done. I just hope they follow through on their end to keep this a success.
So did anyone else get free expedited shipping? I got it for the 15 hosts, but it was going to cost $5-6 to get it on the 10 pressure switches I just ordered.
I hope that was legit, it’s a nice unexpected bonus if it is.
I did KKW. I think if you spend so much the shipping gets bumped up free. I did add insurance since it was almost $300
how to order hosts and switches at once- in one single package, and use both promo codes?
Some better batteries sound like a good plan, and tell them to stop selling ultrafires.
I honestly trust a seller less if they sells that kind of crap.
