review of 2019 model w no tailswitch
The Original RRT-01 also had no tailswitch, it first came out in 2011, and had no strobe, claimed output was 500 lumens. (XM-L LED)
Then it came out again in 2012, with strobe, claimed output 600 lumens (LED changed to XM-L2). NiteEye Eye10 also came out in 2012, with the same driver and LED.
The 2019 also has strobe, claimed output 950 lumens w XP-L LED.
2020 Raptor also has strobe, claimed output 950 lumens w XP-L, also offers a Low CRI Nichia 219C w Orange Peel reflector. The 2020 model adds thermal step down, and a tailswitch.
fwiw, Jetbeam, NiteEye and Sunwayman were all independent divisions of the same parent company, Sysmax. The Sunwayman rotary driver is of different construction than the driver shared by Jetbeam and NiteEye. A Jetbeam Driver does not fit in a Sunwayman.
